At times I was convinced I would never ever write one of these!!

So we all know I have a loon Staff X rescue, have had him 5 months almost to the day. We have issues with other dogs, but as I am starting to realise, it is on lead/ headcollar issues- he screams he dances he fights the headcollar.

Today we met up with a friend and 2 of her dogs, one of which is the dog that bit Dex, another Staff X,the other a bulldog he has met once. We have not been able to walk with them for 2 weeks as she is a copper and been permanently "on shift" so am expecting Dex to be way way to over excited

We go to the field, Dex and the Bulldog are off lead, the other Staff X is on- and Dex was AMAZING. Said hello, didnt jump all over them, gave the other Staff X the respect he deserves, (as in room, not "PLAY WITH ME PLAY WITH ME PLAY WITH ME") chased his ballie, had a little game with the bulldog, and generally had a great time.

Dex took off at warp speed after a bird, all I said was "Dexie" and he stopped looked at me and came hurtling back-

Loving the ginger gobshite atm!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Oh and before anyone says- dont worry this does NOT mean I shall abandon the lead and have Dex off around dogs he does not know!!!

Well done girl youve put in the work and now you are reaping the reward. Bet you thought this day would never come.

Dex is a star now go and enter him in the calender comp. you will have my vote because if anyone deserves a reward you two do.

Awwwwww thanks guys- still massive amounts to do, but there was a point where I thought he would never be off lead even in an enclosed space, let alone a good 5 acres!!

ETS- calendar comp???????????????

We're definitely getting somewhere- not sure "there" is on our radar quite yet, but baby steps and all that!

Thanks ALL of you for the advice so far- am sure I will be needing shed loads more!
