Been a long week so far... even with a half day yesterday... but here it is, thursday afternoon rolls around and it's nearly the weekend :D Listening to the radio feed from the BD nationals which is easing the pain today :p

What are we all up to?

Kira is having a quiet day today after a VERY grown up feeling lesson yesterday, tentatively hatching a plan for A100 in a couple of months :eek3::biggrin3:
Millie is continuing hacking, she looks like a kids pony with her massive woolly coat but I'm refusing to clip until I know if she will do any proper work or not. We had the hunt round on Tuesday so she's been on hunt-patrol since then and tanking round our little loop with great gusto.

Got to do some normal humanning on Saturday as have a wedding to attend but back to normal on Sunday, planning some arena hire to run through AM98 with Kira for an outing next week and will hopefully have another little play with the tempis.

Have fun all :D

Sounds like Kira is coming on in leaps and bounds still, have fun with the arena hire!

Nothing horse-related for me this weekend - OH has booked us tickets to go to Tiger (tank) Day at the Tank Museum in Bovington. Joys.

Good luck to everyone competing and I hope everyone else enjoys their weekends :).

Missed last weeks when I actually had plans but nothing yet for this one :o!

Trying to organise an arena hire for Topaz before our AF second rounds and busy working on my homework from my lesson from last weekend! Mine are very fluffy, but should I clip Topaz before her AF or not.....

A forest ride with some PC friends on Saturday (family trip - hubby and son too), and hopefully an XC lesson on Sunday afternoon with baby connie.

I'm going to do some jump schooling with Max now that we've got his new bit!! Oh and I'm going to spend far too much money at my local tack shop

Any pics of your lesson MP?

I am sitting in a strangled huff waiting for Parcel Force to deliver new boots for new horse and the quality of my weekend totally is at the mercy of what happens next. Meant to be hacking out tomorrow with a friend but we need the boots first. Stomp stomp huff. (And they need to fit her mahoosive feet!). So I can't ride or leave the house but what's the betting the moment I do he will arrive and he's the only courier who will not leave stuff in a safe place. And of course they may not even arrive today anyway despite paying an extra tenner for the privilege :(

absolute dead cert :D how irritating!
No pics sorry, twas a good one too as Adam chased us round the pirouette work with a long whip to encourage K to actually bother trying! the actual sitting element of the piri steps comes easily to her but we get stuck in one place as she is inclined to slow down around turns :o I think when she figures out that a pirouette is *a thing* she will be sorted as that's how she's been with everything but at the moment the penny hasn't dropped! :p

My 15 year old loaner is taking my 148 out to her first BS show at Bishop Burton Saturday morning. A first for us all apart from the pony, so I'm looking forward to it - Loaner is super excited!

I plan to spend most my weekend doing lots of cantering with my Welsh D in an attempt to up his fitness a little more in prep for our first meet this season on 1st October :D

photo's for attention :)

Good luck everyone else in your weekend adventures - horsey or otherwise!

Pocholo and I were supposed to be at AM Dressage right now but they had to cancel - to cheer myself up I had a lesson on Indio this morning (his first lesson since before his op in March!) then took P xc schooling at Boomerang. Indio tried very hard, we're under orders now to do lots of straight lines, as he finds going sideways easy but staying straight is difficult! Pocholo and I had a blast, he's not jumped in six weeks and he was very happy to be out!

Hack early doors tomorrow, then I have to go to a naming ceremony on Saturday and a mini-festival on our village green on Sunday so not much horsey time. I'm in London all next week too so I'll be getting itchy feet!

Have fun at comps / arena hires / hopefully hacking! MP - wow at A100!!!

Not much for me hhmmmppphh :(

Infected / inflamed fly bites are getting better every day only a wee bit! So still can't put a saddle on, if they're not very much better soon I'll have to get the vet back out.

I'm trying to work out if my bum is small enough to avoid them and I might just jump on bareback

oooh just a couple ;)

After physio am travelling home tomorrow to have a trial run of Frank + dress to work out whether I need to attach it to knees.

Then Saturday evening we are doing the concours class in said dress, and the M+M championships in slightly less ridiculous dress. We're only going for the photos. It was a close run thing as thankfully they sent the qualification card to mum's address or she was going to trim his legs!

Dress is courtesy of LizzieJ as a replacement for the previous dress she gave me which my sister seems to have lost :rolleyes3:, altered by another hhoer after testing on yellow pony last weekend :D.
short topper, posher stock and navy jacket courtesy of Rara007 :D

Saturday is blank at present tho hoping to pop round local mini XC or at least blag a pop of someone's jumps.
Sunday am off v early for arena eventing...... with my poor memory am likely to halt half way as will have forgotten course....

Good luck to those out competing :)

I'm of to the Sunshine Tour Championships at Hickstead. I'm doing three classes. In hand turn-out (I was doing ridden but it clashed with the veteran class so they swapped to inhand), in-hand mature veteran and ridden mature veteran. It's a very early start so will be at yard by 5am as leaving by 6.30am.

I'm not sure how his warm-blood brain will cope with cantering around with 24 other horses so please wish me luck for staying in the saddle and hopefully not having to retire from the class as I've had to previously 😳.

Have a fab time everyone who is out and about. And hope you have fun at Hickstead!

Had two busy weeks, non horse related - boo, so not doing much this weekend. Off to cheer on the Wobbleberries who are doing Munstead on Saturday. Bittersweet for me as that was the one I'd set myself as the goal for my challenge. But work is so busy and I'm travelling a lot, so it wouldn't have been great timing anyway and it was the right thing to defer, so mainly I'll just be really chuffed to see my fellow wobblers doing their challenge.

Spectating again on Sunday, which makes a change as my OH is always watch g me doing horsey stuff. Off to watch him do a decathlon.

Hopefully in between that I'll get to visit the grey beast and have a nice long hack. The break is making me feel ok again about jumping so I might pop him over a few poles too and see if I've left behind my jump demons somewhere along the way

Was supposed to be having a flat lesson tomorrow but horse came in lame yesterday morning! It was the leg he had an op on 2yrs ago so no messing and got vet out, luckily it is a bruise so instead I will be playing nurse maid for the weekend.

Good luck to all who are out and about this weekend!

Good luck everyone.

We had a successful first proper dressage outing last weekend, and got 60.6 which I was pleased with as we ended up with no time to warm up. Literally on and in. Had a trailer hitching up issue. Someone had moved my trailer, and had let the trailer slide to the bottom of the travel on the jockey wheel, so I couldn't raise it to hitch up. Had to drive back home for a jack, and jack it up onto my car, and then fix the jockey wheel. So we ended up leaving 40 mins late!

This weekend we are doing our first mini 1ft6 ODE and I am excited and nervous!

An hour ago I wasn't doing anything, now I'm signed up for dressage tomorrow, P13 and N30, we're out of our depths with Novice! Like so far out it'll be comical, but the spaces came up so I thought why the hell not. Off to have a ride and a wee practice and learn the tests......Wish me luck!

A quiet weekend for us. We went to a Fairfax Demo today. It allowed us to try the Fairfax Drop bridle. A definite improvement in his way of going, a lot more even and forwards into the contact. Sadly I can't quite afford one at the moment but it is on our wish list!

HappyDayz have a look at the CK equine double drop (they're on Facebook), very very similar to the fairfax but a fraction of the price. Plus they come in patent .

Oh dear, I'm rather hoping they don't play music tonight... it can have one of two effects on the welsh oldie! Good luck :)

Goodness, lots going on, good luck to everyone out competing (however spontaneously;)). Sorry yours is still of games Wheels, hopefully it's just a new home immune system dip that will right itself.

Not much for me, might wonder over to stoneleigh tomorrow morning :D

I'm trying to take the positives!! Doing groundwork I have to say his balance has improved immensely over the last few weeks, the significant leaning on the left shoulder is now insignificant!

Will be very interesting when I start riding again.

I watched a lesson today, an instructor I hadn't seen before and I was very impressed so will make enquiries I think for when I'm back in the saddle

This week alone baby cob has been sprayed with new tar chippings by a car passing us in road works too fast.

Nearly taken out by an Asda 3.5T van.

Chased by a pack of 5 boxers twice.

New baby cob has a rock solid temperament. I am so pleased!

Was waiting all week for this but thought Tuesday was too early to post, then completely forgot!

We went to Blenheim for the Eventers Challenge on Thursday - It was the best fun and my horse is Awesome :D

We were the very last horse to go in the 90 which was running late and the sun was quickly disappearing, but my super pony, rose to the challenge and jumped a fabulous round, only having the last fence down due to a rider navigational error!

Our team were great, it was the first year we've had a team as our club is predominantly dressage and low level jumpers and I think we finished in the top 10-20/ 45 so really pleased and can't wait to go back next year :D

Maybe one day we'll make it there for the real deal! who knows! ;) . . .

Hopefully these pictures work!
