Feeling a bit down this evening
it's got the that time of the year when sh*tbag really is a sh*tbag....hence why the nick name stuck.
He's starting to get all stressy, wound up, excitable, nervous, basically just a mixture of them all them, obvioulsy his hormones are playing up and its really messing with his head.
He's always drops weight in spring, its hard keeping it on because when I bring him in he's box walking, even rearing up at times and getting himself in a right sweaty state, he's not so bad if I stay with him, eventually he calms down and starts to eat his bucket feed but the moment I turn my back and walk away from the stable and he's screaching and barging into the door and tonight I thought he was going get over the stable door and injure himself, I had to sit outside his stable and read a magazine for 15 minutes just to keep him company while he hate up his bucket feed.
I'd taken him off the Gold Label Tranquil (herbal supplement inc, valerian) to try this this Globel Herbs Rig Calm but its seems to off turned him the other way
mind you I suppose it takes a month or so to kick in but I'm not sure if I could combine the two, Globel Herbs don't state on tub whats in it.
Sorry pointless post I know, I just don't like seeing him this way it really gets me down and I just worry about him all the time and how I'm expected to keep him looking well when he won't blooming eat (as in hay/bucket feed) which he needs, even more so when he's doing work.
I do honestly think I've got the most complicated bloody horse in the country.
Moan over.
