@TheMule & @LEC - hope you have good waterproofs if you're watching the dressage today!

We're really doing rather well so far! (frantically throws salt over left shoulder to avert the jinxes!)

We did have to hide in a tent with the livestream for a bit but are back out braving the rain for the last few!

@LEC and I filmed a course walk today if anyone is interested.
We really enjoyed the dressage today- the judges aren’t giving marks away and combinations are consistently scoring about 2% below their normal, but they are being fair.

Loving having the HHO correspondents on the ground - thanks for sharing! :)

It’s still raining here- quite a bit more than was forecast, it has been a solid light rain since lunchtime. I think it will have an effect on the competition tomorrow, but the ground is beautiful and will take it well- the main field is all gritted so the top surface shouldn’t get slippy and the main combinations are on naturally drier ground, with the exception perhaps of the coffin complex where I can see it cutting up a bit running down to the ditch

Thanks for the course walk. I’m amazed they let everyone walk right up to the fences.

We were too tbh- on our first course walk we stayed behind the ropes and looked from afar, but it then became apparent that it was a free for all, so we joined in 🫣
I think that’s probably testament to how wonderful the ground and grass cover is(was?!)
Anyway, it has stopped raining overnight, the sun is peeping through, and it should be a wonderful day of sport 🤞
