for Mud Fever!

1. Purchase, upon good recommendation, expensive tub of mud fever treatment.

2. Hold tub tightly in hands every morning and night whilst examining neddies legs for any signs of the dreaded MF!

3. Realise some 4 months later that neddies are not 'doing' MF this year AT ALL despite being nearly vet cases every other year!!!

4. Consign said tub to tack room shelf to gather dust until next winter & repeat.

I give up..................

lol..true! Actually, our mare had it really bad, once we bought a tub of the stuff (never opened) she hasn't had any since...humm!

I won a tub once and never used it, it's for sale now ^.^ acompanies me in the car to table top sales... Touch wood we've been lucky enough to avoid the dreaded MF so far.

hehe thats always the case

i leant my friend one of my elastic bandasges once as her horse had an abscess, it was my last one and she she didnt want to take and she said jokingly you''l need it if i gave it her. i said it will be ok.

I had the opposite effect with a pot of sudocrem...
Innocently bought another pot as we'd run out AGES ago, and had kept forgetting to buy another. Hadn't needed it all that time.
As soon as i got the new pot i spent the next week having to plaster it over the horses, all of a sudden they felt the need to come in with nicks, cut, scrapes.
Bloody horses!

re... Don't worry I got a horse in may with severe MF, and he had it all the way through the summer no matter what we tried. Winter rolls in and it just disappears - no explanation at all!

my was the same but found out back end of summer is was sun burn on his white legs because he has pink skin!! try factor 50 if it happens next year!
