Sorting ot her iron/copper levels / balance can have a HUGE effect on coat colour and hoof health. My lad was similar to yours, until I realised that as a big lad I underestimated the amount of supplement he needed - he's now pretty much black apart from mild dappling in the summer

Really pleased for you, I’ve 2 blacks they do bleach in the summer, but I would say yours is a dark bay as her muzzle is dark brown, blacks always have a black muzzle even in the summer.

I was ways told it depends what colour the muzzle is. If the muzzle is dark brown then she is dark brown .

Anyhow, I like the name Betty. I have a great friend called Betty. She's so sensible. Fair. Honest. Reliable. Her second husband always thought her name was Elizabeth because she (Betty) sang and played guitar under the slightly posher name of Elizabeth T____. (Just keeping a bit of anomyity here.) So, everyone on M's (2nd husband's) side of the fence calls her Elizabeth, and everyone else calls her Betty, and never the twain shall meet. (Betty's family think, "Elizabeth??" And M's family no doubt think, "Betty??")
