Hi all!
i posted last week asking about Section D's - i've always wanted one and now i have one!!
i hit the jackpot at the Welsh Pony & Cob Sales at Bilth Wells on Sunday! I initially had my heart set on a dark bay/black 10 yr old mare who i know would have been worth every penny as i've seen her at shows and my friend had judged her etc - the money went a bit too high and i had to walk away, gutted. Anyway sunday came and i missed out on another black mare. Decided to leave the auction ring and go shopping for bits and bobs...then she caught my eye...a dark chestnut chunk with a flaxen mane & huge tail! Only 4yrs and a LOT younger that i'd planned, but she was SO friendly and nosey, gave my a massive lick..we turned around and went back in to bid on her. My friend did the honours as i thought there was no way i'd have her, then the words.."she's yours!" - a monment i will never forget!
She's a star! Very babyish but SO loving and as i've got the help of my friend, who's very experienced, i think she'll work out fine. We both rode her last night, very green but eager to learn. She'll have a home for life with me.
Had to share my news! Im so happy...
Any advice on a young Section D??
xx
