My new horse is currently in a borrowed bridle, a full size Jeffries IR as all of mine are a bit big for him.
I was going to treat him to an Otto Schumacher one but as he is still young and into putting everything in his mouth I thought maybe I'll leave that until he has grown up a bit!
So... I like the Jeffries IR that I'm currently using but I'm half thinking of getting him a cob size because the noseband is done up on the last hole and the cheek pieces are on the last but one.

Does anyone know if there is a huge difference between cob and full in the IR?

Ta x

I would also suggest contacting Jeffries for specific measurements - as I have a Cob size and think it is fairly generous! My mare wears full size headpiece and browband and cob size everything else usually - the Cob size IR fits perfectly although the noseband is on the tightest hole.

Thanks. I might just go and get a cob size from my local tack shop and try it on, I will be getting a full size browband anyway as I don't like those to be snug.

It's just that they are in the sale online so was thinking I could just order one!

I can measure my cob size tomorrow if you like. (not going to the yard this afternoon). Although mine is from Stroud Saddlery but it's the same bridle. I usually buy a full size browband but Izzy who designed the bridle told me they were bigger on the IR by design - she was right and mine fits perfectly.

Thank you for the offer, but I've just realised a friend of mine has a cob sized one (I assumed it was full) so I'm going to try that on him tmrw!
