I not done any reports for a while so i thought some of you might like to see our JLC report with vids.
Yesterday we had another lesson with Jennie Loriston-Clarke, last time i saw her i took my big WB & had an amazing time. The time it was the Spanish One's turn.
Jennie hasnt seen my Spanish boy since last year & in that time we havent had any lessons due to things being up in the air a bit atm. But ive felt confident that i was heading my young lad (who's now 6yo) in the right direction.
We have had a few small blips & a few months ago i decided i couldnt live with the saddle he had & set about finding something else. The something else came in the form of a ex demo Barnsby N-gage dressage saddle & quite simply we havent looked back, both of us are happy.
The one thing that stood out to Jennie was his lack of actitivity, all my fault. So she set about really putting me to work the trot had to trot, the lateral work had to keep active & sideways. TBH 15 mins in i felt knackered lol.
But it made such a differance in the Trot & to the trot Halfpass of which he is still very green.

Jennie was most impressed with his Canter, she said it had really improved beyond recognition & that i should be very pleased. We went on to work on some Canter Half Pass work.
Starting with just a couple of good strides HP then straight then HP again. Then we did from the corner to C-line i was chuffed he stayed active & with me.

The end bit focused on one of the movements out of E-49 *i think* which is 1/2 20mtr circle in to 1/2 10mtr circle into leg yeild. I hate this test but Jennie really made us work it & as you can see in the vid the activity lacks a bit.

At the end Jennie said he is a Very smart Horse, who she can see lot's of improvement in & can see him doing very well in his dressage career. Of course this just made me beam.
