I has an ex JA pony that was arab x and she had a fab jump. Was quick too.
Not sure about dressage though i wasnt really into that at 10 years old.
I suppose it depends what level you want to compete to? Arabs have a fab jump in them and can be super fast in a jump off, they also have beautiful paces which get good results in the dresage arena. Saying that I have never seen a pure bred Arab jump Grade A or compete at PSG in dressage (please feel free to prove me wrong people) I have seen them event over 3'6" fences.
The great thing about Arabs is that they can do everything (I'm biased I own an Arab!) they are brave and once you have a bond they will do anything you ask of them.
I would say go and look and see what you think of theo horse to ride, they are not all the same and some are far firey than others

The people who say Arabs can't jump have either never seen a shorse jump or don't know what an Arab looks like! Many of the best pony SJers have Arab in there bloodlines. I also think many people don't realsie that not all Arabs have the overly dished face and high tail carriage and can therefore not spot them in a prize giving line up
Let us know how you get on viewing the horse, I love my Arab and would recommend them to anyone who wants to compete (but they are maybe not for the faint hearted!)
My old mare was an Anglo Arab, 13 when I got her, brilliant bloodlines (though that's not why we bought her) and she was obsessed with jumping, especially xc, could clear 3'+ easily.
i am liking hearing all these good comments just hope he is well behaved to ride haha he came 2nd in the barley field dressage championships couple of months bac
