I have this issue with my older horse. He has one tremendous dirty stop, DG was calling him norty words at a lesson as the front feet came off the floor and he could still spin and drop me on the fence 
My position on him was horrendous to look at
its not perfect by anymeans but on E and on S its better.
I have to say I sit up quickly but my feet aren't braced against the stirrups, it was just how I was taught to jump years and years ago. Sit up, get off the horses front end and allow to land so your ready to ride away
Also means if I get left behind I'm not landing on horses neck in a heap or socking pony in the chops
