Jumping Saddle Recommendations

I am thinking about getting a jumping saddle. I would love a really deep seat and nice big knee rolls to keep me on board

Unfortunately I can't really afford or justify a new saddle, but what the hell! I am thinking about a synthetic saddle, as it would be cheaper, but would this be a good idea or do I just try and find a cheaper second hand one? Has anyone got a synthetic one-which make and what do you think of it?

I think your post is a bit confusing - it sound like you are actually looking for a forward cut GP saddle rather than a jumping saddle (Jumping saddles would usually have a flatter seat). What are you riding in at the moment?

if you want a deep seat then as milliepops says a forward cut gp would be better, i have an albion K2 GP that is excellent for holding you in the seat when you're jumping - having had H since a 4yo i got plenty of experience with being catapulted about!!
unfortunately he's grown out of it so its now for sale!
a friend has a wintec jumping saddle and likes it alot so that could be an option

i'm going for an Albion K2 jump saddle as I like the flat seat and big knee rolls - room to move around in the saddle. Im not sure a deep seat holds you on, but decent knee rolls and room to get your stirrups up will. My position has improved a million times since shortening my stirrups but they're over the front of my VSD saddle now.

Just had a jumping lesson and discussed with my instructor. She's currently in a Thorowgood T4 GP, but the knee rolls are practically non exsistent and he said its not helping at all as I'm very tall and my knees are well over the front of my saddle. He said I just need big knee blocks, and suggested the T6 Robert Whittaker jumping saddle, so I'm going to have a look at that. Has anyone got one?

What about getting out a master saddler!! then you can try a few good saddles. Have p.m'ed you as off x-country schooling again

i have two jumping saddles looking for a new home PM me if interested. both are leather.

personally they are worth their weight in gold if you ride shorter x
