I tried to read it three years ago but it was not long after loosing my mare and I couldn't get into it. However I decided to try again and i've really enjoyed it. Going to go to see the film now when it's out (does anyone know when that is?) xx

If you enjoyed the book and get half a chance go and see it at the theatre - AMAZING!! Looking forward to the film too, can't wait to see it!

Me too! only started reading it last night, a couple of chapters at lunchtime and finished it during the football tonight. Great book, decided to read it before seeing the film. Thought it was out at the cinema on Jan 13th, but happier if it is Christmas day.

It is out in the US on Christmas day, but not until January for us, unfortunately. Nevertheless, I cannot WAIT!!! :D:D:D Although I know I will be sobbing my socks off!

I read the book a few years ago and loved it (was also surprised to discover it was one of many books that there was a chapter of in an anthology of horse stories that I used to read a lot as a kid) and went to see it at the New London Theatre earlier in the year and whilst tickets were expensive even my skeptical non-horsey mum admitted it was worth every penny. It was AMAZING and I would urge anyone with the opportunity to go see it. Will definitely watch the film when it's out (dunno if I'll get to see it in theatre, depends on who i can drag along!) but not sure if it will be able to top seeing it in theatre.

I was a very naughty child and must admit I loved the book so much I failed to return it to my school library. I still have it, it's very worn and tatty but a great little book for when you've got a couple of hours spare. Always makes me cry a bit though!!

I'm half way through it ATM , got a feeling that the film is going to be a whole lot more thrilling and emotional , most spielberg films are blockbusters.
