My goodness OP, please take the good advice on here and go and get a check-up asap....it's just not worth risking any serious health problems because you are busy with other things...please go and let us know how you get on....hope you are okay

I am really sorry for not having replied enough as I said my in laws arrived. I really think I am ok, my, to but it bluntly, fanny bone is a bit swollen and red and blue. My neck hurts, as in a whiplash injury. I was really in shock and carried on as normal, but have eaten now and feel bruised but not ill. I must admit to having taken codeine for the pain but do not feel overly concerned. I have taken everything everyone has said to heart and seriously. I promise if I feel sick or strange or anything else to go to a&e straight away. All the people aroudn me are aware whats happened and I have spoken with my friend who is a nurse. I thank you all for your advice and I am not being difficult although I don't like to over react either. But if I feel at unwell during the night I swear to youall I will go to a&e. I will update you tomorrow.

I'm sorry but everybody is still going to tell you to go to hospital! Your pubic bone/area should not be red/blue and the colouring as well as the swelling could indicate a break or fracture. PLEASE go get checked out.

OK really worried now, but my OH has a lumbar hernia and can't move, am trying not to make a fuss. Really worried now. Also nurse friend has just text me to go to a&e. More worried how they will react to the codeine and bottle of wine I have had. OK will contact you in the morning after a&e.

Get in a taxi and go, please. They won't give you a hard time about the codeine and wine, they've seen everything there! I know going to hospital seems like a big deal, but it will be a bigger one if you don't go when you needed to. If you're fine, they'll check you over and send you home. Whereabouts are you? If it's Lancaster I'll drive you there myself! :)

Field04 - Call a cab and go, if you can't afford a cab, call an ambulance. You really need checking out!!

Can you phone NHS Direct for their advice?

If you OH can't take you, could you get a taxi, of ambulance if no other option?

Thoughts with you and hope you are ok x

Sending healing vibes, hoping its just a bruised mini ! I was once double barelled in the chest, I got away with just bruising but always important u get checked out.

I came off my pony, got knocked out for a few minutes very sore hips got back on and rode two and a half miles home. Family dragged me to A&E about head, that ok but got a small fracture in pubic area of hip.We were all surprised. Grounded for six weeks. Hope you are ok.

Glad you are getting seen to! My thoroughbred did the same to me when I was about 14 year old. Winded me to begin with but I ended up in hospital as the pain really increased after a few hours so they put me on morphine.

I still wonder why you were feeding a Sheltand pony at this time of year when all the rest of the little sods are in starvation!!

Hope you are just bruised and a few tramadol nights will see u better :)

Any news op? Are you okay?
I stupidly tried to grab a difficult to catch horse whilst he lay sleeping in the field last year. Resulted in a hoof in my head- just behind my ear as he freaked out lept up and double barrelled. Easy to do then you look back and realise!

Any news yet? Only just read this and was thinking all the way through daft sod get to A&E :p Glad to see you went OP, really hoping you are just bruised but my gut feeling says its more serious than that. Hope I'm wrong though

Hello, I have been checked over and am now sporting a very attractive neck brace. I have just got whiplash and severe pelvic bruising. Nothing broken and no internal injuries. So I got off lightly although its very painful!!! Slightly nervous of horse at the mo, but am sure that will pass!! Thanks for all your help and best wishes!!

Well I say feeding one she gets less than a handful of straw!! It just means she doesn't bother the big one so much. She has seen the vet and she is not overweight so we are doing ok.

So pleased you're comparatively ok! Was worried about you. After walking around (and riding!) for two days with a broken back, I do tend to err on the side of caution. The thought of the very real risk of being paralysed tends to do that to one.

Gentle hugs hunny.
