Just been down to do the late check on the yard. All seemed well, turned the outside yard light on and peered in to each of the stables as I walked past. I got to my own horse's box and I couldn't see him, turned his stable light on and I still couldn't see him
The door was closed, although none of the bolts were done up, cue massive panic. This is the horse that I had to sell my other horse as well as use all my savings to pay for an op and is currently on box rest with walking in hand only.
As i'm standing there worrying like hell and trying to figure out what to do, the rug room door swings open and my horse casually walks out. Baring in mind that a: the rug room door was shut when I left and b: it is only 5ft by 9ft, either he opened the door and reversed in there or he somehow managed to turn around! Dear old boy comes plodding over to me, I grab a bit of his mane and he politely follows me back to his stable. He was none the worst for his little adventure and if anything his legs actually look less puffy from walking round, and he left the yard looking very tidy. No poops or broken things in sight
Damn horse trying to give me a heart attack
