just saw this filly on fb, is it just me or..

Ah then it is, of course, completely acceptable for them to live without contributing to the state by way of taxes, to set up came on private land and to wage a living by stealing what is legally someone else's property.

Of course not, but if the isn't any attempt to understand problems then they aren't ever solved. If the '84 Public Order act hadn't removed council's duty to provide sites for Roma and Travellers they wouldn't be forced to camp on other peoples land. They often camp on land they own themselves, as in Meriden, which was reported quite widely. Lots also pay taxes, live in the same place all year round and work for a living. Legal encampments have to pay council tax.

Some Travellers are 'scum.' Some are not, just as every other ethnic group has good and bad. It is not OK to lump them altogether and make sweeping generalisations. That a well bred although poorly put together horse is imported by Travellers is irrelevant, and it is offensive to make a big thing of it.

Not sure why this has turned into yet another traveller debate. Yes the horses in the pic's are bad quality but he's hardly hiding the fact is he? The second one isn't as bad as the mare IMO. If people are daft enough to buy a poorly shaped, barely broken horse on the strength of it's bloodlines alone or because it's big and black and came from the continent then there'll always be someone happy to supply them.
Looks like Frisians are this years fashion, is that because Andalusians have tended to be a bit hot for a fairytale import? It'll be something else next year.

I have met lots of perfectly nice travellers and even more totally dreadful non travellers. Indeed the local feral children belong to a very well to do non traveller family, who own a very naice sort of house. (And yes, I spelt it that way on purpose!) Little goblins have spent the entire summer playing ring the bell and run away, letting the air out of car tyres, throwing stones at windows, and chasing cats.

They have spent the past week hiding from me as I now simply bellow at them on sight. I did try telling their parents but they have no control over their spawn whatsoever. A garden hose may yet accidentally end up soaking them...repeatedly...if they keep hanging around our back wall.

As to the horse, it looks more like an Akhel-Teke than a Fresian to me!
