Just seen a vid of me...

LOL, no, I sort of meant raise funds by syndicating TS TV show to the US, then when I am back in Blighty I could maybe come on the next trip to Europe?

Oh, that's right you're US bound. Where to? Maybe we should come to visit you, if you're going somewhere warm.

You can definitely have the US rights, although I think we'd only be able to sell the "cable" version as eventing would be a tricky mass market sell there.

Try a julep. Not gin but an interesting experience, never the less.

Really, if we don't let on to anyone that I'm involved and only quote Baydale's rather less tarnished record, we should be able to pick up a small freebie or two in the way of 'sponsorship'? Am happy to wear a Gordon's/Bombay Sapphire/Jacob's Creek etc. T-shirt for the duration! (though obviously not for the competing bits as I don't think the FEI would be too impressed

).

I mean Baydale is already dressed in Gordon's colours...

Ah, but we're not trying to sell them the "famous sportsmen" market, we're trying to sell them the "people who drink lots of gin" market. I think people with slightly dented records fit PERFECTLY into such a sales pitch.

Nowhere at all useful - Indianapolis! I plan to go to see the Rolex Kentucky whilst I am out there, and was told gleefully by some lovely Americans that Hoosier Horse Park holds some eventing and is really close, only 2.5 hrs away - that's my absolute maximum travel time over here and I have 3 CCI* at least 1 CIC* and everything that is within my ambitions let alone my ability within that travel time LOL!

Hmm, you'll soon get over that. I keep gleefully saying "oh that's not far" when people tell me travel times here only to have them look at me like I'm mad. I think it makes a difference though, that in NA you actually spend the time DRIVING, in a straight-ish line, rather than sitting in well below speed limit traffic and driving on roads that require frequent doubling back and stopping in passing areas. Two hours on a highway with a good CD and a couple of stops for drive thru coffee is a whole 'nother experience.

You aren't going now, are you? Dress appropriately . . .

Fly on the 5th of Jan. I am assuming my ice climbing gear will come in useful?! My down jacket is a bit worn out but I am banking on it being cheaper to replace out there since the only brand I can buy which comes in small enough sizes is a US import anyway, and I know Mountain Hardware have warehouse discounty type places out in the US and Canada.

Ah well in that case I'm ideally qualified - I think I'd fit perfectly into their target demographic

. But only if their target is 30-ish rather flawed but enthusiastic amateurs who can still spell the word 'demographic' after a bottle of wine (though I'll admit to misplacement of the apostrophe in the word 'Gordons' ' in my previous post
