A friend of mine has a lovely cob type, about 14.2/15hh ish. She has a few family probs and as a result pony has done very little. She has hacked him out etc but never had chance to do any continious work with him. He is not schooled etc. She would like a sharer (he is kept at great yard) or would like him to go on loan, but in the south lincs area, so she could visit. What are the chances of someone taking on a pony like this? Sorry for lack of details, she will let me know more shortly.
 
After having to find sharers for both of my horses and knowing what friends have gone through looking for sharers i would say it is seriously unlikely you will find someone competant enough to bring on a youngster - i think alot of people think they are able when they are top level of a riding school and have a real false sense of ability(as i probably did as a kid aswell) - if you look for a sharer you will see what i mean - everyone i know has struggled to find reasonably good riders for schoolmasters never mind to bring something on - they would phone up with stories like they were john whitaker and then struggle to do a rising trot. I suppose theres a slim chance but from experience not much x
 
It may suit a student or returner to riding so don't give up hope of finding someone suitable. There are reasons why people are sharing such as finances to fund a 'whole' horse. Not all sharers are novices.
