Ive posted some photos in the PG but was just flicking through some more when i noticed these i took of Inky before his summer exercise regime. He was turned away over winter just grass and hay. How he's on hard feed and exercised daily and i think i notice a difference!! excuse his colour at the moment he's going through his change! The before photos were taken on 1st march 2010 and the after taken today.

Wow! I'm impressed! & he is gorgeous :)
Fancy telling us a bit about this regime I have a mini shetland gelding who looks like he is going to drop a foal despite limited grazing etc etc!
 
wow, he looks gorgeous. Most of ours have come out of winter on the lean if not thin side but Eeyore is just as heavy as when he went in. I would really like to know your secret, what feed and how much work? Please share...............

Well he was on adlib hay over winter and a field full of grass with no exercise.

Now he gets two huge feeds a day but no hay. He is out 24/7 but on limited grazing ( i do have more grass than in the photos before anyone comments!! its just bald around the shelter! ) There is enough grass for him to nibble at constantly but not get mouthfulls of. He has Alfa a lite, speedy beet, stud mix, oats and outshine. He is lunged at a trot for 20 minutes 5-6 times a week. He is covering at the moment but to be honest he looked like this before the mare came! We have done walking in hand too but whilst he is covering ive stopped that for now.

I don't know why I'm surprised ( he is a proper man after all) but to suddenly realise that Inky is having S-E-X makes me feel a bit like a dowager aunt who's caught the nephew reading a few porn mag's!

He looks very smart with his new 'buff' body btw.
