I would agree about Christine and Diana's books but really like Josephine's and learnt a lot from them.

As a pony-less child and teenager I loved her books, I read them all - I specifically remember "Darkling" which was a coming of age story, and the Swallow Tales series, along with Fly By Night and Flambards. RIP and I will raise a glass tonight.

Give "Darkling"a go, it's a lovely interesting book.

I was an adult before I started reading her books but didn't find them 'childish'. Good read for any age.

Only just seen that she has died.

Loved her books but always had to rely on what the local library had to offer so there are some here that I missed when growing up. Will give Darkling and Blind Beauty a try when I find time!
