seriously?! is this outfit an 'equestrian' outfit?

btw, i don't hate KP/Jordan like so many people on here seem to... so this isn't me b*tching about her... i'm genuinely curious if these are being marketed as riding wear... or has the newspage of Yahoo got confuzzled?

I am always tempted to ride in shorts to try and get my legs brown, I think it would be far to painful though!

LOL this is a VERY good question!!!!

Deep down i dont think even she would be silly enough to ride in hot pants.

Can you imagen the STATE your legs would be in after half hour schooling???? aaaaawwwwwhhhhh

dosent bare thinking about LOL

I rode in shorts today- Put the stirrups under the flaps and its not painful atall- Untill you leg gets scraped along somthing.

Friends daughter used to ride in skimpy shorts and halter neck top teamed with rubber boots. Ended up with an abcess on her leg from the chafing, so be warned!

Come to think about it i used to do it when i was younder when we went in the river or down the beach but that was ALWAYS bare back (dont wnt a wet saddle)

I spent a summer in the states and rode Western style each day in shorts - never had any problems with chafing, but I was just ambling about, not schooling.
Hotpants are another kettle of fish though, lol!

I rode my pony in shorts once as a teenager and her sweat made me have an allergic reaction and it was soooo itchy! Never again!

No! I've seen her coming back from the yard in perfectly normally johds and boots on that Katie and Peter Stateside thing (yes I know I'm a loser!)

Hi all friends!

Can't stop laughing, (+ well done RLF! And what a lovely horse + what a competent rider you are.)

But, no matter how slim we may be, well that saddle doesn't arf stick to human flesh!! Been there, done it, as kid, as teenager, and as 'someone who should know better at my age'!

Agree with Missmmc, if we ride in shorts, then only way this can realistically be done is by riding bareback. The best will stick on (= talented), but others learn to stick on (= achievement).

So H+S lot will snooker this idea asap also, no doubt?

That's just me! (I'm happy riding in TJ's £5 stretch jeans + £15 half chaps). But what do i know about fashion? (KP out of price range, thank god, life is about better achievements)

Anyone else with my view? (Ie: recognition about equine worthiness + clout isn't about clothing, it's about achievements)

Who else has ridden in shorts? (i reject 'hotpants', as this suggests that i was around in the 70s) (as if.)

Maybe Katie would like to challenge H+S ridiculous ideas about riding in shorts, etc, (thinking along Joanna Lumley ideas here, + where power actually lies).

There we go, another thing to think about....

All bests, BS x

None of her collection is in any way functional equestrian wear - it's nasty high street rubbish at rip off prices.......................................

I occasionally ride in shorts when its hot but always long boots, just because I always ride in long boots. Its very comfortable. I would do it more often but the reaction from people is what deters me, rather than discomfort.

Dont think shes daft enough to ride in hotpants its just part of her range and the media have found an angle to go with. After all how many of us would ride in the joules dresses ?

i often ride in my g string...but i find a good application of lubricating cream on the parts of my body that would chafe...ie inner thigh, calfs and bottom cheeks often helps avoui chafing..hope this helps
