Katie Price Horse shopping in Holland on TV Now!

Having kept my horse with her when she was a young Katie Price on livery with her horse Star, just outside Warlingham, she can muck out and do the day to day stuff.

As for working hard, she has a lot of fingers in a lot of pies not just what you see on the TV she is a true business woman.

I think there are a lot of women Toni Terry springs to mind, bought horses and their riding is a ok, part of the Oldencraig publicity machine who are far far worse, she is not the best in the world, but good luck she can afford what she wants in life, through hard work, determination and large shoulders.

How would the story read if she dumped Harvey into full time care that she paid for, gave Peter the other kids and then just swaned around, an easy life for her but no she works on with the backing of money that every penny she has earnt herself.

A fan no, but you have to admire her sheer guts and bloody minded determination, I wish I was a bit like her.

Must be nice to be able to just buy a horse that you like the look of but from what had been said above, why would you do it to you and the poor horse, he may be destined to big things but sadly not with her

[/ QUOTE ]

Why is it sad that the horse isn't destined for big things with her? Horses don't have a deisre to compete, they may enjoy it when they're out, or enjoy their work at least, but that horse won't sit in his stable and night and cry that he isn't competing with Carl Hester! Provided the horse is safe, well cared for, fed and warm, why does it matter whether he goes on to win a World Cup?

I do agree with Scally she is not my favorite person but i wouldn’t like to have to read all my faults on the front pages of a news paper even if i had brought most of it on myself.

I liked to see her struggling with a trolley at tescos like most of us do (made her look normal).

She has earned her own money and should be allowed to spend it as she sees fit.

It makes me so jealous..she can just rock up and buy a horse like that..I'd love to see her do some bloody mucking out or feeding at 5.30am in the morning when its freezing cold and pitch black..god im SO GREEN aahhhhhhhh

[/ QUOTE ]

Why? I don't do any "bloddy mucking out or feeding at 5.30am in the morning when it's freezing cold" and I'm just a normal, every day leisure rider. Just because you have horses, I don't see why we should all have to be martyrs to them. But then again, I'm one of those dreadful full/part livery owners who doesn't love their horse enough to be there at 5am to feed before work, go to work covered in mud and hay, then spend all night at the yard mucking out too...

Feeding your horse before work doesn't mean you love him anymore than others who don't! KP can afford for someone else to do the hard work, good on her I say!

Chesnut cob...i was not having ago at anybody....i never suggested you loved your pony any less at all or even suggested anything bad about full/part livery owners everyone is entitled to enjoy there horses in any which way they want to..each to there own i was just saying what a nice lifestyle she has and still has the great pleasure of horses (if i could ride top horses all day and not do the donkey work i would)......it was merely a passing comment not aimed at anyone in the slightest...

I love how people call her a terrible rider... She is learning isnt she? I have seen worse on here and nobody tells them that they are terrible.

It really pisses me off to be honest. I am not as good as she is, does that make me terrible too?

Ditto that!! I see some pics of people on here and think OMG if that was me, I wouldn't have dared put a picture up! I am pretty sure that most of us on here are not olympic contenders - neither is she

Yes, she has bags of money. But unlike many people in the horsey world - she has earnt it herself, not been paid by mummy and daddy. How did that young eventer that rides for china get all his money - working behind a bar? - I think not! I have nothing against anyone who has money for horses however they get it, but I probably have a little more respect for someone who has earnt in themself. What they do in their lives doesn't really affect me tbh

I don't really care if she is a good rider or not - she has the money to have the horses looked after properly.

What I did find rude was the way in which she behaved - taking little or no interest in the horses or anything around her - leaving Andrew and her PR lady to ride while she sat waiting for the black stallion to arrive. When it did she couldn't ride so ended up riding and buying a different one.

I guess the lesson there is no matter how much money you have the 'ideal' horse isn't always the one you want it to be and money doesn't buy you manners.

I didn't like the way she referred to the black horse as "it" he/she is a living creature not an object.

Agree, and also want to add that while most people here seem to be slagging KP's riding off did none of you see what some of the Dutch "riders" were doing whilst "riding" the horses?

A clue: it involved spurs and fancy leg work ( the riders, not the horses)

She isn't the first person in the horse world to have done so and certainly won't be the last!

Maybe, but surely Andrew was there to do a job ie, find a good horse for her, and I rather suspect the PA jumped at the chance to ride some lovely horses!

Mind you, lets face it - Its manufactured TV so they will present the picture they want!

Completely agree with you!

I have the same rangey as bimbo and let me tell you the damn things are nothing more than a 2 tonne tabogan in bad snow, less than useless, they are chelsea tractors not proper working 4x4's you can't even lock the diffs on them and with road tyres on you would be better off in a little narrow wheeled old mini or something in the snow!

[/ QUOTE ]

Frankly if you are having trouble in snow with a Range Rover the issue is more likely to be behind the wheel than with the car. Even on full on road tires they'll go places most other vehicles won't, and Minis can only dream about.

I am simply staggered at how many people drive 4x4s and have no idea how to drive them in snow and slippery conditions, then blame the car for their own shortcomings. Mind you, driving in the snow and ice seems to be a lost art for most drivers these days.

Katie Price = Air Head Loser!

She used to drink down my local pub and she was as thick then as she is now!!

She gives dressage a bad image!

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmm, but who is watching who on the t.v. now? Miss P has a 'love to hate it' image but her bank balance would hardly suggest she is thick. She's never suggested she is a trainer, which is why she is looking for a horse to teach her, not a horse she can teach. She has AG to train her then to ride perfect neddy. They all have a job then & they're all happy to do it...where does giving dressage a bad name come into it?

My friend used to work at those stables in Holland... I'm glad it showed that despite those horses being advanced schoolmaster types they are not push button rides as a lot of people seem to think. The Dutch method is to ride them very deep so unless you are very secure and consistent with the contact and your seat, its just not going to work.

It doesn't matter how well you drive your 4X4 in Surrey or Sussex if you can't get it past the hundreds of other non- 4X4 cars strewn all over the road, in hedges, stuck on the hills or sliding back towards you!
