It was advertising Channel 4 (I think), she and a few other celebs, including Kirsty & Phil, Heston, Amanda (yuk) Holden and Piers Morgan turn up at some ramdom bloke's house.

It's NOT an advert for horse ownership though is it? It was merely a job for her - she was acting... would you expect Russell Crowe to get off his horse mid-film and go and wash it down and put it away? No... The horse probably wasn't hers anyway it will've been part of the set...

I appreciate it isn't an advert for horse ownership, my point is as a 'horsewoman' you would expect her to be a bit more involved in it. She was the same when she did her dressage test, handing the horse over and leaving. There are young girls who look up to her an I don't feel this is that responsible, it makes it look like there is no effort involved when we all know that on a normal budget this isn't the case.
It isn't about 'being bitter' it's about having an opinion...

She has enough money to ensure her horses are cared for and that's the most important bit. Advert was abit confusing and didn't like how she just jumped off and didn't even pat horse- but as above - it's just another job for her.

Yep, iirc filming was way, way behind schedule and hence she was incredibly late getting on her way.

But why on earth would you expect her to be "a bit more involved"? It's an advert for a TV package. Surely you don't expect them to have a 10 min educational video in the middle where KP shows kids how to groom their pony or untack?
I cannot understand why people are getting so annoyed about this, it's just a TV advert. It's not an ad for KP herself, or for her clothing line, it's for a TV channel. IIRC, there are other sporting celebs on there too... would you expect, say, a rugby player to wash his kit half way through the ad, just to show kids that rugby players don't just have clean kit handed to them on a plate, they have to wash it between games you know. Of course you wouldn't.
It's just a TV advert. And it's not something that kids will avidly watch and try to copy.

I'm not a massive fan of her but I don't understand the vitriol and bitchiness towards her horse related activities. It's maybe not exactly how we'd like to see the equestrian world potrayed but if it's gets Joe Public interested it might just get us more TV coverage like back in the good old '70's when Showjumpers were household names.
I have seen that clip before, the horse isn't hers it's provided by the company filming the ad, she was rushing off and filming was behind schedule. Her own horses are given the best of care and attention - even if it's not by her, plenty on here have their horses on full livery - glass houses and stones imo!

what a small world. jst seen my friend in that video, the blonde who was singing. she does katie's hair and is good friends with her. i see nothing wrong with the woman and cant see why people give her such a hard time. she's jst a woman, who loves horses and riding and has enough money to do just what she likes. wouldn't we all love to afford lessons with the top riders, buy the top horses, pay top staff??? but you kinda hve to work darn hard to be able to earn enough money in the first place. she's a woman who does whatever it takes, good luck to her. i know where she's coming from.
