I insured with them after my friend told me about her previous good experiences with them. Unfortunately she has had to make a claim on her latest horse too - they seem to have been very helpful this time round as well.
Touch wood - I haven't had to claim anything yet *fingers tightly crossed*
Been with them for years, have had two claims, both paid out with no fuss and great to deal with as they're all horse involved themselves so know what they're talking about. I always recommend them.
Would defineately recommend - I had a LOU case which ended with him being PTS and they were sooo lovely, then I had a youngster with them who had expensive treatment which they also coughed up for, would love to still be with them but couldn't get them to insure my saddle because of the tack room circumstances so have gone to the NFU.
two claims in the last three years. Both times sent me a copy of the cheque they had posted to the vet by return of post of me sending them the completed claim form. No problems whatsoever, Would highly recommend them, fast and fantasticservice. They are also very friendly if you need to phone them!

Brilliant, Vaya was insured with them and when she got her colic probs they paid out the full 3.5k for vets fees without a single quibble and the day after they recieved my claim form. They have now let me know that I should be covered under mortality too, so now Vayas in heavan they will pay the 3k so I will have money to get another horse.
They are sympathetic and efficient. I wouldnt insure with anyone else.
I have had 2 biggish claims with them this year including one where surgeon flown in from Germany as expertise not available in UK - so a bit experimental. Amazing both times - completely matter of fact about it all and paid very very quickly.
Only downside is that they do seem to be a bit enthusiastic over excluding things after a claim. (have been other threads about this, not just my experience)
I think they're fantastic! I've been with them for 11 years for both horse and trailer. They've always been fab at paying claims (and we've had quite a few!), very sympathetic on the phone and quick with payment. Yes, they do place exclusions, but I've found if you question the exclusion, with appropriate vet report they will lift it. That does depend on what the problem was though. I'd highly recommend.
