Just thoughts I'd look for other's opinions
Just about to look in to insuring both my two and wondered which other's would rate higher
I've had dealings with both in the past and in general have found KBIS to be 'nicer' and easier to deal with (paid out immediately when I lost my old boy to colic, sent out a lovely condolences card and were very happy to extend my single incident cover for experimental treatment at Cambridge with no fuss) as opposed to PetPlan (my mum's horse was with them and while they paid out alright for vet's fees, they refused to pay out when she had him PTS on vet's recommendation after he was diagnosed with Wobbler's as they claimed it wasn't on 'humane grounds'
)
KBIS are working out more expensive:
£47pm by DD
£3.5k 100% Vet Fee cover - Incident time scale = 15 months
£175 Excess
£500 Complementary Treatment
£250 Hospitalisation
£200 Disposal
compared to PetPlan
1 month £41 followed by 10 months £39 by DD
£5k 100% Vet Fee Cover - Incident time scale = 12 months ('Including specifically stated complementary treatments recommended by your vet')
£145 Excess
£200 Disposal
So with that PetPlan looks the more 'attractive' option, but I'm just wary over their treatment of my mum with her horse (i.e. she won't insure with them anymore after that)
I'm just not sure
Major love for any opinions please??
