One of ours is being pts today, who the children have loved very much. I wanted to get them something to remember her by - does anyone know anywhere that does a full range of colours in a soft toy horse (need bay roan, not exactly the obvious colour choice for a toy manufacturer) or even a model horse in that colour? We're going to do a set of photos to go on the wall, but when we lost our old NF my son had a little bay toy pony that he took to bed and gave her name to, and it gave him lots of comfort.

you could have a look at wellykim on FB, i have seen her do some funky colours as well as the standard bays and greys etc, although they are not totally realistic they are quite charming mementos.

I also like the In The Wired Wild Wood also on FB, but they are not very child friendly as not soft toys, really lovely keepsakes though.

Both of these are absolutely lovely although probably not cheap especially the wire ones.

Look up WellyKim on Facebook, she makes custom "stuffed" ponies with accessories that can be made to match yours - I'm not sure if they'd be suitable for playing with or display only

Not at all what you are looking for but I've just had the tree of life done in a stirrup with the tail hair of the pony. The child's xc colours were blue and white so that's the colour of the beads. Sorry to hear your facing this today. Many hugs x

They look perfect - the image on her fb page of a pony she has made to match the picture is amazing. Do you know if I just message her on the page to order and ask about prices?

I just private messaged her on there and asked for a price list - I haven't yet ordered but found they were very reasonable - you have the option of just the pony or she can make accessories for small additional costs - I THINK she also does a little rider for an extra charge so you could have her do that to look like your child if she/he would like that - I think she does tack and rugs to look like any favourites as well

Definitely Wellykim. I have a dog and a horse from her and she's done ones for all my horsey friends as well. Lovely things and exceptionally made.

Another option would be to have a cushion with a photograph on it.

My children have a couple of these with much loved pets on them, and they are lovely for them to cuddle and snuggle up to.

I would love a Gypsum stuffed toy. I have a wee model horse of her, an SS gift from "I'm Dun." It lives in a prized place on the mantel piece. Wish there were more people doing this. Maybe should learn to sew.

The Wired sculptures are spectacular. Probably very expensive, but wow, they are stunning.
