I'm so glad to find this post today, as I've booked my saddler to come out to fit a K&M saddle to our lead rein/PC pony next Friday.

Did someone say the silver coloured gullet plate is the widest?? I'm sure thats what he will need.

Yes silver is the widest, I have that in mine!!

Rio has a GP one. Its the most comfortable saddle I have ridden in apart from my Wow, Sid had one too which wasnt quite as padded for some reason. I rode two other horses today - neither saddles were as comfortable as mine. Its about a year old and although the first one went funny in the rain and got changed, this one has worn really well. I would get another one in the future

I had one and hated it, put me in a really bad position and the leather wore really badly

I've ridden in a few on different horses, also hate them, feel like I'm 'perched' on them, to far away from the horse and fighting to keep my legs underneath me whilst being tipped forward

They were all comfy as in, comfy for your bum, but I'd personally never get one.
