Kentucky 5*

Logged on to watch the 5* SJ on the livestream and CMH is saying it's premiums content, not covered by my USEF membership 😡

ETA: closed the CMH window and reloaded via usef page and I can watch again.

Are you watching on a smart TV? I have issues on the app & via the Internet on a smart TV but my free USEF account more or less works on a laptop - it's still about bit glitchy.

CMHTV isn't selling itself though via it's free coverage!

Does the host nation still get extra places at the Euros? I can see Harry being one of them for sure in September if so

Ema Klugman is my hero of the week - works full time in Washington in a law court as a newly qualified lawyer with only 1 day working at home. I think the commute is 60-90 mins every day one way. Then has 2 horses in 4* and 1 horse in 5*. I know she has grooms to help as I think has a string of about 7 but still that’s some dedication with late nights and early mornings 24/7. Plus no escaping off to Florida in the winter.

Just a quick update ref Clipmyhorse in case it's of any use, but I've heard back from CMH ref using the Smart TV CMH App for Kentucky - I tried on a couple of TV's and got the same "Error code 403" when I tried to watch the Kentucky 5* livestream directly on the TV or via Firestick.

Anyway, the longshot is that the free USEF "Fan" membership only allows you to watch the footage on the Mobile App (which I take to mean phone & iPad/tablet etc), or via CMH via a web browser on a PC/laptop etc. If you want to view it on a smart TV, then it needs to be cast from a mobile device or via an HDMI cable.

So, for Badminton I'm hoping that as that will be a paid for subscription, that we won't have the same problem, although I see that my CMH account type is set to "Freemium" so perhaps that doesn't bode well.

Bear in mind that CMH take roughly 2-3 days to respond after the initial result with a load of info being required, so I'd recommend checking your Badminton CMH account asap! 😊

Just looking at some of the event photos online from the cross-country, I had no idea it was permitted for a horse to wear two nosebands!

I had alap assumed there would be a rule about it somewhere - in this case it was a flash and a drop.

Some of the dressage photos in the rain are stunning although I’m glad it wasn’t me having to ride in it 🤣

@Northern Hare Unless it's since changed, when I contacted them last week they do expect to have Badminton TV available on a smart TV/firestick app by the start of Badminton so hopefully we can all put our HDMI cables away. Based on my CMHTV experience, I'll have mine on stand-by still 🤣

He should ne pulled up, those horses shoulders touched the ground and should be eliminated for a horse fall

Pleased to see Klugman received sanctions. Her horse was exhausted towards the end of the XC, and she was flapping away. It's right that this is categorised as abuse of the horse.

I am still surprised that the fall wasn't a fall, when shoulders and hind quarters were on the floor at the same time. Even as a not-a-fall, I can't believe he kept going. I suppose that's the difference between people who treat their horses as rideable pets and those who view them as machines. At least he finished out of the placings I suppose.

I’m glad they have given him something for his riding of Phantom. It looked dangerous . He didn’t balance him before the fences. One of the commentators said something like he can only ride this horse in an open frame as though trying to excuse what everyone saw.
