Ok, so how many of you are voting for her to do the bush tucker trials? I am fed up of seeing her puffing, hyper panting, and acting up for the camera's. The program is very quickly becoming all about her. The Katie Price Jungle show and isn't that just what she wants?!

So all of you who want to see her suffer, you might just be playing into her hands. She's a tough cookie and she wont just leave unless she gets voted out.

sorry, but the voters are the people making this show more boring than usual,Katie will hang on in there- then she'll be booted out.its a pity for all the other participants who must be bored out of their skulls by now doing nowt!! blame ITV for having her in there in the first place by dangling a nice hefty financial carrot-

Oh I'm a Katie fan, to be honest there isn't anyone else in the Jungle I'm warming too.

I actually really admire Katie, I think she is a hard working girl with a clever head who knows that her appeal has a time limit, so is making hay while the sun shines.

I bet that in 20 years time when she has security from her bank balance we will all have forgotten Katie the glamour girl and be discussing Katie the serious dressage diva!!

whatever else is said about Katie Price, she is in fact a pretty good rider. i saw a programme a few years back about her and her horses( before Pete) and she is very knowledgeable. the dressage isnt the be all and end all of her equestrianism.

canteron - for that to happen she'd actually have to learn to ride well. Buying expensive horses from the continent to ruin isn't going to get her to the top, no matter who attempts to train her.

And the bitching starts.

As you were folks. I expect a minimum of 4 pages by tomorrow.

I dont agree with everything you say but agree with the fact it is getting boring. I am not a KP fan but tbh enough is enough. Give her a break now. She has done her bit. IMO ITV are condoning bullying which is essentiallly what this is. (not meaning your post btw!)

Bitching? Yeah okay, I can't stand her, but I can't stand Pippa Funnell either and I'm not going to sit here and say I don't think she can ride.

KP thinks she's on her way to the next Olympics... now either I was watching something entirely different to you at HOYS or she's a fair way off that.

She's been riding since she was a little kid, she trains with one of the country's best trainers and she has some seriously expensive horses at her disposal... yet she's still no better than mediocre. There's nothing wrong with that - what I find irritating is that she believes otherwise.

If she took her dressage as seriously as she likes to make out she wouldn't currently be attention seeking in the Qld rainforest.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure this has been done to death previously (during my 3 year break from HHO

well at least she now knows the british public hate her and want her off the show...fantastic, and do you think with her sort of lavish lifestyle 12 million quid will last long...i dont think so..

I don't particularily like Katie Price, but Munchkin, I think you're mean and smell of sour grapes a little.

That video clip is the first test she ever did..... and she certainly doesn't ride like that anymore.
Can you imagine taking up a sport, and the first time you have a go at a competition you've the Tabloids filming and photographing you - we all get to cock up in private (yes I accept she's media hungry).
However we all have to start somehwhere, and credits due to her for improving from this starting point.
Lets face it, if we had the money we'd all purchase the best we could buy. I know a local amatuer where I live who's spent a fortune on her horses from the continent (via her husbands big wallet) to the point her trainer now lives on site...... and trust me, whilst she's had limited success, when the going gets tough the trainer gets on, at home and competition. This sort of thing doesn't just happen in Katie land, it happens every day all over the country - and it doesn't make her the best rider in the world, but its how she chooses to rise up the Dressage ranks.
And as for KPs horses, they will not be ruined because Mr Gould will keep them sweet.
OMG!!! I've just defended KP, need to go and lie down.....

Katie will be given all the trials and then when the voting off starts, she'll be the first to go!! apart from all you anti KPs on here, bitching about the poor girl( i'm not a great fan myself)the programme is being produced abominably at the expense of the other participants. you lot should be ashamed of yourselves criticising on and on and on about every aspectof the poor creatures life!! dont tell me you all have never made mistakes, noone with skeletons in your cupboards, noone gone out and got ratarsed and made idiots of yourselves, being a groom in many jobs in my life i certainly have- so stop the preaching, if you cant stand the woman why continue to watch her!!!

Not aiming at you personally.
Just commenting on the fact that no matter how far removed from horses a KP story is, someone ALWAYS comments on her dressage ability.

Tbh she;s a faaaar better rider than I'll ever be and the whole aiming for the olympics was media bullshit.

It was in direct response to canteron's comment, which was about her dressage ability.

millimoo - you are sort of missing my point
smile.gif
- if it was the first test she ever did, why did she choose to do it at Hickstead? Would you, or anyone else? Of course not, she just thinks she's too good to start at the bottom like everyone else.

My issue isn't with her riding, it's with her attitude. And you can say I have sour grapes til your face turns blue but as long as I'm the opposite of everything that vile creature stands for I'm happy

Hickstead is merely a venue with good facilities... I don't understand why you have chosen to use this as an attack on why she's not starting at the bottom? Please correct me if I'm wrong... but starting at the bottom in dressage means starting out doing Prelim tests? Which is certainly what KP did

I don't want to jump into this 'debate' but I do know that Andrew's yard (and were KP's horses are kept) is about 2 mins from Hickstead. So chances are they just went to the nearest venue holding an unaff test that suited....

Big show or little show, affiliated or unaffiliated, million pound horse or bargain basement neddy - rein stops on dressage reins????????????????????????????????????????????

I dont normally vote on things like this, but this time I will be voting - I think the producers should say KP can't do a couple of trials and give the others a chance. Plus which, she is getting hardened to the trials...
Personally I think Jo B is the nasty on the show, not KP!!

What I would like to know is how KP can fit in all her dressage training while gadding about all over the place appearing on television. She also spends a heck of amount of time doing other things. Surely if her aim is to take part in the biggest sporting event on the face of the planet, at the very top of her game, then she'd be committing as much time as possible to riding. I also believe she has cut many a corner by buying all these top horses instead of working her way up the ladder like everyone else.

does it really matter? she says a lot, not all of which she does. And if I had the money this second, I would be treating myself to a well bred, well schooled horse and paying a top trainer to look after it when I couldn't.
People get slated for mistreating and abusing horses, at least hers have the best possible care, and I can't imagine they want for anything. Leave her to it, she's not doing any harm

Exactly, she has an excellent trainer and can get the best horses money can buy. Not a fair advantage in my opinion. Also, whenever I watched that Peter and Katie show and she went riding, her horse was already warmed-up. All she had to do was hop-on, then once the session was over, she dismounted and let somebody else see to the horse. I don't think that is setting a very good example. For that matter, neither is having umpteen nannies to look after your children. I was always taught to muck out, groom, tack-up, warm-up, cool down, untack and re-groom MYSELF. I am also teaching that to my little niece. Besides, there's nothing like bonding with your horse by looking after him or her yourself. If I had aspirations of riding in the Olympics, I would be committing 100% to that goal. I certainly wouldn't be stuffing about in some jungle, or attending endless parties, or doing fancy photo shoots all over the world. I'm sorry, but you don't do all those things and expect to have any real shot of becoming a professional athlete. I bet the likes of Laura Bechtolsheimer and Emma Hindle didn't get to the top by doing half of what KP gets up to.

I haven't always had a negative opinion of her. She used to come over as being pleasant and down-to-earth, then fame and fortune started going to her head. I'll never forget her completely belittle people on benefits. Making it pretty clear she doesn't care about those less fortunate than herself. Now she thinks she can go to the Olympics on a horse that somebody else has brought on, that somebody else has trained and that somebody else has cared for. She is NOT a good role model in my eyes. At least my sister has been smart enough not to expose my niece to KP and neither will I.

Over2you - you really should get out more!

Read my previous post, it's not just KP who's keeping her horses this way - there are a lot of amateurs out there with a lot of financial backing doing exactly the same thing. I can even give you names and addresses.
I would buy the best I could afford, and if I were a multi millionaire I would have a fabulously expensive horse (and hope one day I could ride it)
cool.gif

She's in the fortunate position to have other interests, and who's to say she had Olympic aspirations, it was probably the Press - and lets face it, horses are the biggest levellers out there.
Oh, and I don't expose my neice to KP either, she's a kid after all and loves nothing more than her weekly riding lesson at the local school with asprirations to ride our Dressage horses one day (ours are not ready made by the way).
Anyhoo, i'm bored......

Fair? What's 'fair' got to do with it? She's got a sh!tload of money, is that 'unfair'? She's also entitled to do what she wants with it.
Personally, I find her irritating beyond words, but I don't care what she does with her money, or how she 'looks after' her horses providing, of course, they're not abused or neglected. If she doesn't want to groom, or tack up, or muck out, then that's her business. Plenty of people don't.
Personally I don't think KP has the commitment or talent to get to the Olympics, but I'm not anyone to criticize how she chooses to spend her life, however unsavoury I find it, and neither are you.
