I booked to go on a pleasure ride tomorrow ages ago. Not got anything ready yet....but horse is as fit as a flea and raring to go!

Problem is....me.

This past year, maybe to do with horse going off lame in the early summer, and missing the last chance I had to qualify for the Trec Champs, I've sort of 'gone off the boil' even though I've been riding loads and loads since she came sound once more.

I'm only due to lose a tenner if I don't go, and it's a 2 hour drive, not that that bothers me, have driven my little mare all over the place previously!

Now, I'm going to a family party tomorrow night, not drinking though as I'm not a drinker so driving there and back, and Sunday will see me checking out (not riding) a new place that is starting with shows and it's right on the doorstep...and then getting ready to go back to work after an lovely half-term!

So, do I go, get tired and go back to work thinking I need another week off.....! OR....do I stay at home, go for a pootle round the BP and not rush getting the field jobs done?

Am I just being a lazy c*w who needs a

to get me arse into gear?

~sigh~

Not into shows or anything these days, am happy just hacking about, and now....I get the chance to go on a nice ride, and my lazy side is taking control!!!!

I'd love to be going on a pleasure ride tomorrow, but I'm not aware of any local to me in the near future.

Go and have fun, you'll be glad you did.

You are absolutely correct of course! So for the last hour I have -

Fuelled truck and OH helped me attach trailer.
Tack-Pack is packed up and ready.
Travel gear (boots, cooler and fleece, I don't clip so need to make sure she cools down ok)
Water.
Water bucket.
Grooming stuff etc.
Ride details ready.
Sat nav ready.
My clothes and stuff ready.
Money and phone.

Just need to get up early now! Haha!

:D

Don't forget your riding hat! Or tack, or girth!! Like i have done many times before in a rush :D (not so much the tack, maybe the correct bit which i was going to swap when i got there lol)! Go and have fun! I would love to have the transport and money to go at the moment :) Plus you never know when or if you'll have another chance , treat every day as your last :D xx
