Laminitis Supplements ??? Any advice anyone ??

I've used 'ungulat' on one horse and it seemed to help a lot. Didn't cure the problem, but the horse appeared to have a lot less discomfort walking. Took a few weeks.

Thanks i think a friend of mine has used ungulat i think ,

I was thinking of lami products that may prevent onset of lami , if that is at all possible ??!!!

or for use when the pony doesnt have lami at present ??

thanks guys xx

Other than a grazing muzzle, restricted grazing, good balanced diet and exercise i personally think supplements are a waste of time.

Hi I've just started G on Foundergard, she was on Lamigard, which I've now changed to Biotin & Methionine. Watch this space re FG, but the Lamigard is good if pricey. Guess I will never know just how much influence they have the condition when combined with all the usual management routines, but I'm gonna use them anyway. All the best Dx

My vet gets Founderguard for me. They have to apply for a 'licence' for me, and then can get me a 5 kilo tub (one a year). I have to make it last the year by using it carefully. I am now on my second tub.
I think you can get it via the internet from Australia but I haven't investigated this route myself.

I don't think there has ever been a time when you could buy it over the counter in this country as it's never been licenced for sale except to vets.
