JAGS, I don't know you but am really sorry for your and your mares loss. I know it hurts so much. 3 months since I lost my filly at 8 months and 4 days old. You mare will be fine, give her a couple of weeks and her milk will go. Its so upsetting to see them but you must be there with your mare. Mine went beserk when we took our filly away but horses are V strong and get used to the situation far quicker than we do. Chin up old girl, he was a lucky chap to have been owned by you and you were lucky to have shared his life with him.
