My coach was over from Melbourne so I had a flat lesson yesterday and a jump lesson today. It's been 3 years since I last saw him thanks to covid and then the price of airfares making it not feasible, and I have really missed our lessons. Both of my lessons were so good, and I'm on a bit of a high.
We seem to have unlocked the mediums, Henry has more gears than I thought. He really is very clever. Now I need to keep practicing and then refine them some more. I also need to be stiller. Fix my outside hand, sit up straight and have quiet legs.
Jumping was good too, we looked at flying changes and found some holes, so more homework. We can go left to right easy but right to left was much harder. He would change quickly after and was clean in his change, but he really struggled to change in the air. So Something to work on. My every day coach was there and I know she will have some ideas. I did find I have a counter canter button and that our counter canter is pretty good. Which we have been working on, but it was even better than I thought. I came away feeling very proud of my horse and how far we have come!
