These always demonstrate that having money doesn’t necessarily give you taste
. But couldn’t resist entering.
Can you direct us to them? I though Omaze was reputable? I know there was one that took a while to get keys because of a planning issue but thought Omaze were supportive through the process? You need to read the small print, there are many horror stories that have won Omaze houses
I did Google and Omaze replied that they have suveyors reports that say it is stable m and it is fully insurable. That said, if I'd won that one, I'd have been cutting my losses and selling pronto for a lesser value!Don’t know if the one @Red-1 mentioned as being affected by coastal erosion is the one by us, I suspect it may be, but one has been up for sale for ages. That is right by the cliffs where the coast road had to be moved inland before it fell in the sea a good few years back. Would have thought it would be impossible to get a mortgage on.
Actually same! I'd absolutely accept it graciously of course and just sell it.I think I’m weird, I would hate to live in such a big house
Could sell it though, buy a nice bijou pad and retire from work!
From the Omaze website:I don't think you are allowed to sell them for the first year? Panaroma did a programme about them
The current Yorkshire one has stables and land. The house is enormous - but if you don't sell it there's business opportunities
Deleted - looked at wrong houseThe stables look lovelyI can't see anywhere how much land it has though
