One of our kind Facebook friends wrote to Avon and Somerset Police, since they were confused over the ACC Rod Hansen from Avon and Somerset Police statement last week saying the following
Wording ¬ police high visibility clothing typically has POLICE printed as a contrasting block of letters prominently displayed to the rear and/or front.
Colour police high visibility uniform is universally yellow.
Chequered Banding ¬ police high visibility clothing commonly uses blue/silver chequered banding,

Thank you for your concern. You have nothing to worry about as long as the Hi-Vis vests do not have any signage or emblem to imply you are affiliated to the police.
