her 7yo refused, so got a whacking 4 times at least. Then another smack on take off. despite not even having a chance of winning she then raced round and knocked loads down.
In the speed stakes at olympia .
Horse (Beluga the something) refused and its got a few(HARD) smacks on the arse and the commentators were saying she'd probably get a telling off by the GJ
She was riding that horse far too fast and messy at the fence, especially for a youngster, no wonder it refused, and the way she treated it after won't have helped it's attitude at all....

Not a way to treat a young horse jumping at this level....
Exactly what I thought .
As Andy (I think) was saying .. its a horse for the future

i completely agree, if my pony refuses... she normally gets a kick and proper ride into the jump, then maybe an ikle slap... never hit my pony, makes her worse
its disgusting to see that from a rider at this show, she is a good rider, what a good influence shell be on the younger riders

Especially as the horse had stopped yesterday too.
She should be banned by the BSJA, not just warned. It's just OTT. She is a high level SJer, she needs to accept horses make mistakes, a 7y/o isnt exactly 100% sure of its job.. (some may be) but i'd deffo be confused if i was hit like that. its disgusting.
That refusal was totally her fault. I doubt that the best horse in the world could've attempted that from that setup.
I hese gets a severely reprimanded for a totally unecessary use of the whip
