Le Mieux sheepskin half pad

Hi, our saddler has suggested we get a sheepskin half pad for Breggey and the LM ones seem to be good. She takes a 17.5 inch saddle - would we go for medium or large please? Also, are these allowed for dressage competitions?

I would go for large, especially if you have collars on the pad. When it arrives, if the saddle sits on one of the collars, send it back as it will cause a pressure point.

Yes, they are allowed for dressage.

I have a 17.5" ideal Jessica on my 14.3hh mare, and the large was mahoosive ! I took my saddle with me when I went to buy the half pad so we tried several, with the saddle fitter. She agreed the medium was a far better fit than the large.

Yeah I have a large and it's really a bit too big for my 18" saddle. I think they are huge!
