Just out of boredom, really: what is your least favourite thing about your horse?

And to balance, I suppose, what's your favourite thing? ;)

My least favourite thing about my horse is that he can be a right grumpy old git when he wants to be, hence his nickname 'Grumpy B*****ks' and being rather handy with his teeth, 'Jaws'..

However, he is incredibly honest and will try his absolute best when ridden. When unsure, he really looks to his rider for confidence and he will try his heart out for you (and usually does a pretty good job of it!) if you are clear about what you want him to do. He also has a ridiculous looking mane; he is bay, but his is streaked with a rather surprising amount of grey (he's 16)- makes him look rather distinguished :D

Least favourite... has a few stable vices which he had long before I got him, so proving very difficult to 'fix' them

Most favourite... wears his heart on his sleeve and it's clear to see how much trust, love and faith he has in me

least favourite ... his habit of throwing his water all over his stable. I get through loads of straw because of it!!

favourite .. his unusual sapphire blue eyes ....

Only thing I don't like is her melanomas, & the fact that she will have a shorter lifespan than me.
Everything else I adore, but mainly her personality & attitude. She is so opinionated & confident in every way, & just so sure of herself. Just the fact she's her really.
Only thing I dislike about daughters is that she's 11.1 so will eventually be outgrown, & because she looks such fun to ride but I'm too big.
Favourite again is her personality & attitude, & the fact her & daughter have such a great relationship. They are so suited.

Littlun least favourite is that she has melt down moments which I feel so guilty for. Favourite is how well she tries to handle these, can watch her trying to control herself and now looks to me too.

Grump. Least favourite, her age as it means that I can fall into the habit of assuming she'll be fine with something and is too easy to forget that she's not been handled particularly before. Favourite is that even when grumpy it's a half arsed attempt and that she is actually fine to handle most things.

Ignorant oldie. She is a lump who is always in the way. Favourite is that she's always in the way as adores being pampered and loves to be led round and fussed and is a lamb when attention is on her.

In fact all of mine have their favourite and least favourite things in the same behaviour. I won't bore with the rest!

least favourite about my cob hes smarter than me he allways one step ahead despite my best efforts my favourite hes so funny with it i try to tell him off but just end up laughing in eighteen years i now give up

Least favourite about the Current Appy is her absolute love affair with mud  She seems to believe that the best thing to do (perhaps to keep warm? although she has a winter coat to rival a yak!) is to collect enough to provide a carapace which rivals a tortoise shell! :D
My most favourite is her love of life, her love of a joke and her overall wonderfulness :D

Least fave thing about charlie is the amount I worry over him bout every lil thing lol and that one day he will be outgrown but ( I hope) I will never sell him :)
Best thing is giving him cuddles and fuss and he just stands there and just owning him and being able to care for him :)
And his big brown eyes+long gorgeous mane+fluffy coat :p

Charlie - worse - That he's a messy ****** in the stable
Best - His reliability, I can get on him after 3 months off and know that he isn't going to have a meltdown about it.

Missi - Worse - Her naughtyness/napping when ridden
Best - She's so pretty and kind, loves her cuddles and kisses.

Millie - Worse - Her attitude on the ground making it difficult to loan her out (she doesn't like new people and can be very marish)
Best - Her attitude to work, she want's to please, she want's to show off and she wan't to do well. Her best is also the worst as her attitude on the ground means she hasn't been ridden for over a year :(

Kelsey - I love everything about her, maybe the least fav thing is that she is going to be 28 this year! :( best thing is she still as forward going to ride as the day I got her, except now I trust her a million times over!

Sam - least fav - he is stubbon, when he doesnt get his own way he rears - and its proving very difficult to stop!
Fav thing, is hes scared of nothing so if we can stop the rearing he's going to be the best horse ever!

Without wishing to sound really wimpy, I can truly say I love all my horses for who they are, individual personalities quirks and all. I like how they all respond to things differently, I LOVE them for how they have all helped to raise the baby within their herd.

Least favourite thing - his age. He is 20 in May and I have owned him for 8 years, so I know our time together now will have a limit. He is also still a bargy git, as before I owned him, he was allowed to learn his own strength - not a good thing in a cob.

Most favourite thing - his lovely good temperament. He is the most placid, kind and genuine boy you would wish to meet. Oh, he has his moments, but I know I can utterly trust him, and he has the kindest eyes of any horse I have met, plus he is very handsome (jet black, white star and white sockts).

Apache
least favourite would be that he can be uncatchable to the point that it doesn't matter what you do, your not getting near him.

favourite - His beautiful blue eyes

Maddie
Least favourite - When she spooks she always tries to land on me. :(

Favourite - is her stupidity, she always does something stupid and gets herself in sticky situations that are hilarious to watch.

Khan
Least favourite - rearing he is a ****** for rearing.

Favourite - his personality, it makes up for all of his faults :)

J - least favourite is that he eats so much / doesn't hold his weight well in winter. Favourite is his cheeky attitude - he's well mannered and obedient, but he doesn't half let you know that he's behaving against his wishes ;)

Fergs - I'm not a massive fan of his "grow two hands and plunge around like a pillock" act when we're hacking. He did beautiful extreme travers into the path of a van yesterday for no reason other than because he felt like it
However, I love his "can do" attitude to everything - he wants to please and when he understands, he really enjoys his work, schooling, jumping, anything. He's not big and flashy, but sometimes he forgets that and shows off like a superstar :D

Daemon, I really dislike his disregard for fencing. However, he is the sweetest creature in the world to handle, totally chilled out, but has paces and scope to die for (relative to his breed, natch) and all the bravado to make good use of them!

Favorite - He's funny

Least favorite - He hurts himself being a knob.

This made me laugh!

Favourite - my lad is traffic proof and was a good hunter in his day, jumped anything

Least favourite - tendency to lameness due to old injury and bad tempered near food.
