Best place to buy??

I want quality English leather and a brass buckle, not chain.

Ideas please, and experiences on service/delivery etc also appreciated while you're at it!

You could try Derby House up at Moreton

ETA; They stock Jefferies & Sabre so although they only have the chain ones on their website, they might be able to order in a plain show lead for you.

Agree, Jeffries leatherwork is heavenly.
Am SO annoyed with myself that I didn't ask my saddler to make me one though, I had other stuff in there but completely forgot to ask about the lead rein. He would have been much cheaper too!

It is too short notice to get him to make me one now

Thanks for suggestions guys!

There's Cotswold Saddlery in Cricklade Street, Ciren that somebody said is quite good. Bit far from me so I don't go out there.

Thre's Colne Saddlery in Norton & Guiting Power that are pretty good, I've used them a few times.

There's also Stroud Saddlery but I haven't used them.

Fox Saddlery have a website, they're at Teddington Hands, near Tewekesbury & they have a leather show lead with brass buckle!

Have rung Colne, who don't have one and can't get one, and was in Fox yesterday and they didn't have one either

I think will have to order off an internet site and pay through the nose for prompt delivery, as by the time I have ventured to Stroud or Ciren it will have cost me a fair bit anyway.

Thank you for your help though, you are fab!

Ahh, that's a bummer! If I had mine handy I'd offer to lend it to you but all pony's tack is in Cornwall with her!!
