I don't have a trailer anymore, I sold it & now have a lorry. I have always made it clear that neither my trailer nor my now lorry will be lent to anyone. I do not take others to shows, the lorry is for my families sole use. However the only exception is if someone's horse needs to go to the vets urgently & without thought I will take them. Lorries & trailers are a large investment, if you take someone with you in your transport or loan the trailer or vehicle out & damage is caused trying to get the person to pay to put the defects right can be very difficult. DO NOT LEND OUT YOUR TRAILER OR LORRY.

To my way of thinking, I do not insure my trailer; I accept that it might get damaged or indeed suffer some terrible fault which means it is suddenly worthless to me. If this happens, I will scrap it. Bad luck. It could happen whilst I am using it, someone else is using it, or it is sitting idle in the yard.

Que sera, and all that. I'd rather it was being used.
