AE that was fast from foal watch to foal! How gorgeous love a chestnut with bling.

No plans for me I'm away this weekend and my back has been killing this week. Had an impromptu lovely hack through the forest in the sun last night and we've been working on some in hand pole work and turns on the forehand. Got the week off next week so I'll have a lesson and hack up some big hills.

Good luck at the Trec nationals @TRECtastic

AE, your foal is beautiful 😍

I'm hopefully doing some longer hacks this weekend as new hoof boots arrived earlier this week and have tested them.on a shorter hack. I'm so excited as we've had to stick to short 10-12km rides or so recently whilst we've been trial fitting and testing the right pair, so really looking forward to getting back out 'properly'.

Hope everyone has great weekends :)

Really looking forward to people's reports. Very exciting new arrival AE! What a beauty of a foal 😍

I'm just about to do a lesson report. Fairly pleased with how it went despite a spook right at the beginning which sent me on a (very unnecessary) spiral. I stayed on and ended the lesson smiling so that's a win.

RDA this afternoon was fun, it's really rewarding seeing the riders enjoy their lessons and improving their riding.

I have my first lesson for a long time tomorrow with a trainer I’ve not used before. We went to a test riding clinic with her a month ago so it would be interesting to see what she does with us.
However I’ve not ridden since Sunday because T has sloppy shoes. Praying the farrier turns up this morning as promised, otherwise we’ll need to cancel.

I'm working all weekend. Away to Haydock with a runber for 6.30pm this evening. I know no one wants the rain but I would like a wee bitty more of it for this lad 😂 if it could rain until around 3pm over Haydock that would be magic!

Sunday will be the usual Sunday morning at work followed up by an afternoon of fixing stables. Ruddy shetland ponies 😂

Pole work clinic with coat on under grey skies! Hello British summer 🙄

Baby cob started with some acrobatics but I'm much more confident about kicking him on and telling him to get over himself - and he did

Rain started just as our group was finishing. Feel for the instructor because she's got back to back lessons until 4

OH dragged along because my ramp is playing up on the lorry and big strong man needed for assistance. Big strong man not happy about being very wet 🤣

The weather has been awful here this weekend. We’ve got the golf open here so it’s been quite hectic everywhere this week, but I realised on Friday that I could see the temporary helicopter landing pad from our farm, so me and Millie watched helicopters taking off on Friday evening from the manège.

What happened to Summer?????
Aston - it rained and it rained and it rained. I invested in one of those long waterproof hooded snuggly jackets whilst there 😆

7yo was cracking in his second Int. really solid dressage, sj a bit green but the good bits were good. Went steady around the xc but was super confident and straight. Very pleased.

Baby Turnip I couldn’t watch as was at Aston but had an A* school report for her first ever outing. Loaded straight up. Stood on lorry while others were done without fuss. Took being ridden somewhere new in her stride. Greenly popped over a few xc fences and popped a ditch and splashed in the water with a super attitude.

I've always loved Turnip 😍. Glad to hear she's doing well

Managed to find a break in the rain for a lovely hack out today.

Supposed to be XC schooling in the morning, I may change it to SJ as I suspect it may eb slippery underfoot and he is too babyish to throw that into the mix as well!

Had a mixed weekend. Hack yesterday was cancelled as RS pony had gone lame. :( Today's lesson was good though. Worked on collection and contact and maintaining it between transitions. I struggle a bit with having my reins the correct length. They tend to be a bit long. I'm definitely a work in progress and I need lots of progress! :)

I managed to break my hand (kicked turning out) last week so life’s on hold until surgery and ongoing plan tomorrow. Friend came to drive my pony yesterday so it was nice to get out and I’m attempting to have the horse physio to both this afternoon. At least they’ll feel good…?! Desperate to know how long I’ll be off for as have so many plans both for myself and others.
Im horse window shopping and have two in the basket but I have a feeling now isn’t the right time…!

Hufflypuffly fab hacking and RaRa007 oh dear and hope better soon. I have just taken two show jackets to the dry cleaners as they got rather wet on Saturday. Horse was a star as ever winning his classes and did my best to keep him as dry as possible so had a lot of wet rugs, towels etc.
