And widget the most annoying yet lovable dog.

Not entirely sure of his background, just know he was found as a young dog wondering around, was sent to the local rescue kennels and 3 weeks later he was home with us :D
He's an awesome boy with a big character and I wouldn't be without him

Scoobie Dawg has big ears...!

Rehomed Hector at 15months old as his family couldn't keep him anymore. Travelled to Aberwrystwith from Peterborough for him without even seeing a photo 1st - he's an absolute sweetheart, and my little mate.

Cayla - why is someone giving Bud the thumbs up in his pic? :D

Scubs :)
Bought by an elderly lady but he was too much for her, he's extremely bouncy and strong :)
Then passed to the police to train as a sniffer dog, lack of concerntration and being distracted too easily meant he failed. I think he still remebers some of his training, a few times on a walk I found him sat watching a bag of coke, needles and stuff.
His handler was going to keep him as a pet because he was so lovely :) but decided against it so we got him!

I've got his pedigree papers somewhere and he's from a good breeder and worth a few quid as a pup :)

He's so lovely but he does get distracted really easily and its hard to keep his attention, not that Id change him though :D

Southern lurcher rescue is a fantastic site if anyone is on the look out for a new second hand hound

Gizmo was picked up as a stray at 6 months. Has a heart condition and had kennel cough when he came, no training and used to bite. Now he is so vicious he is a pat dog. How anyone could not want such a stunning example of a Jack Russell!!

We also got Millie at 6 months, the previous owners claimed she bites and isn't socialised with cats. The only had her a week from the breeders, then dumped her at 9 weeks. How a breeder can sell a puppy the nips at 8 weeks, I mean what were they thinking!!! Again has lived up to her reputation and is also a pat dog.

Alas, Tessie isn't second hand (unless you class the runt as second hand) but I do have a few waiting over the Rainbow Bridge.

My darling Mickey, rescued aged 4 from a chicken coop on an allotment where he was skin and bones. We then found his breeder and it turned out that his mother was half beagle but you wouldn't know it to look at him (but he had a proper baying bark though). Wonderful boy, scared of his own shadow when he came but lived to the grand old age of 19. The photos were taken aged 17.
gemma.jpg

Gemma was my brothers but he couldn't look after her when his girlfriend died so we ended up with her. She was blind and diabetic, had to have insulin injections morning and evening, but she was wonderful and lovely and just a joy to be with. I'd have another samoyed in a heartbeat if it wasn't for all that fur...

And finally, even though he's not mine and I'm only babysitting him, Trip is currently sleeping on my bed.

7ish yr old, second hand whippet. Totally and utterly bonkers. Tends to stick his head in the crook of my knee as I'm walking ahead of him lol.

You need to set up a photobucket account if you don't have one (which is free) and upload the pics to there, then underneath the pics something called an IMG code will appear which you copy and paste straight onto the post.

Alternatively, if you have pics on facebook, right-click the pic and select 'Copy image location'. Then when you write your post, click on the little icon at the top that looks like a little picture of a mountain. A little box will pop up, in which you paste the image location which you just copied.

:)

OK lets see if this works..

Blaze worn out after being out on a beach all day.. had him for 18 months - met his owner who gave him up when she was pregnant as felt she couldnt cope with a new baby and him. Love him to pieces and most definatly my gain. (except he isn't speaking to me after I left him at the vets all day for x rays today..)

Tara - now rising 9 so had her for nearly 5 years. Relationship break down so she had to be rehomed - after having 8 puppies first!

in the snow, proving what a couple of woozies they are..

oh that wasn't good - it gave the URL to my facebook account - and directly into it from my login page. No offense guys but don't think I want to make my fb totally open!

Lovely GWPs - we're looking for 1 for my dad and have considered a rescue one, would be interested to hear how you got on with them. We used to have them and he'd like another, I thought rescue as I know some people get them and then find them a handful.

this is my girl salsa who came to me from american bulldog rescue at 7 months, she is an AB x and is now 1.5. born in kennels when her mum was part of a court case in london before she was sent to her foster home here. Love her to bits even if she did eat my kitchen ::)

The dog on the right in my sig is second hand, not a rescue though, a chap we new, was going to New zealand to live, and asked if we would have him.

The day before he left, :D

Bea the Spinone was not a rescue, but the victim of a broken marriage, we got her at 11 months from a friend.

With the cat Sprite

She now has a new Spinone friend Skye

Max-i-moo - he arrived last year in late August. Was bought as a puppy for £650 as field trials dog - owners worked in London and commuted from Cambridge and when they divorced he wasn't being walked and was being moved from house to house so he coyld be looked after and not left on his own all day - they handed him over to the The Labrador Rescue Trust and they bought him to me.......
