LIDL Deals 24/1/13

Yay my dad got me one in each colour of rug and saddlecloth, do the bandages come with the rug? I am excited about matchy bandages :-)

He got them in Letchworth, herts I believe :-)
 
my mare takes between a 6ft and a 6ft3 rug, this is her sporting her new fleece

Got mine!!! :) got rugs and saddle pads in both colours, horse normally a 6'3 and fits almost perfect :) bit of bum poking out but sure she doesn't mind!
Have to say I am very impressed with them!! Love the brown!
 
Got a blue saddle pad, last one! Tonnes of rugs left, really lovely but wrong size :( sending my dad to lidl tomorrow to get me a brown saddle pad.
Lovely saddle pads! :) fits my mares very large saddle fine :)
 
Wondering now that if I did buy a rug and it was too small could I pursuade it to be fashioned into an exercise sheet/fleece. They are so soft and the local Lidl has loads and at that price they are great!
 
I made a half hour journey to get some. I bough 10 Saddle cloths :o (4 for me - 2 for each horse, 2 for my friend, 1 for a little girl I look after and 3 spare) and 5 rugs, 2 for a friend and 3 for me (only want the bandages from them as they match the saddle cloths) :o :p
 
Just typed 'saddle pad' into Ebay and sorted by newly listed and they are ALL OVER it! Some for £15 each.

I'm upset that people have bought in bulk just to sell them on for profit, but I'm more sad that I can't do this myself! :/
 
Bought the last 2 saddle pads (1 for me 1 for friend) In brown and a brown fleece for my daughters pony,won't fit mine :( boo hoo!
 
I bought the last rug in our Lidl, it sort of fits my fjord as long as I don't attempt to put the fillet string on and ignore the fact that it looks like a mini skirt. But for £5 I don't care, it'll be fine for drying her off after a bath or as an under layer.
 
Got a fleece for my boy, wish I'd got a saddle pad too now, my dad got one for his mare and I'm impressed with it, too bad I didn't look closer till after we'd left :rolleyes: Will have to see if they have any left come Saturday...I don't hold out much hope after reading this thread tho!
 
I'm going to attempt to turn the rug into a wraparound exercise sheet. I managed to nab a brown rug set, blue rug set and blue saddlecloth. However I need 2 more blue rug sets, a blue saddlecloth, brown saddlecloth and brown rug set. I'm being kinda and attempting to source for everyone on the yard but they only had one of each rug set left today! :(

Booger I could have done you a deal on the bandages as I don't want them just the rugs :D. Was going to eBay them then thought maybe one day I will want to be Matchy Matchy :D
 
It occurred to me I could remove the CHAMP and add a Ff in front of the ion then I'd have a personalised rug for Ffion. OR I could add the wonder horse after it :D

I nearly tried them on my mare at 9pm in the snow and dark while she was eating her tea but I felt I was more enthusiastic about this idea than her so managed to resist :o:D

I haven't had them out the packet yet but the saddle cloths feel rather better quality than the 32.99+postage HKM one I have!
 
Well, my local Lidl did not have them, could have gone to the next one to see if they had them, but did not have the time today, and the fuel cost would have increased the overall cost of the fleece anyhow. Never mind, it saved me buying what I did not really need.
 
Went to buy my set after work today - was only going for the fleece, but when I got there I thought the saddle pad looked nice so got one of them too...only couldn't decide what colour so got one of each ;) well, a girl can never have too many numnahs!

Mine is definitely broad through the chest so anything smaller rubs. Nevermind
