How many piles of poo does your stabled horse do overnight!

The Tb I look after does 4 and the welsh pony 3..... lets have a competition!

mine are in about 12 hrs:D

Fab! My horse is in by 4pm and gets let out about 7am (I only bring him in that early as I start work around 4) anyway - there are probably about 8 piles of crap but he does them all on top of eachother mostly, so you can't always tell. With a fairly thorough mucking out I overfill 1 wheelbarrow full, but that includes wee sodden straw too.

Was only talking to someone about this the other day!

15.2 MW TB : 2 - 3
13.2 Exmoor: 6 - 8
11.2 Sec A : 2 - 3

Made a 'complaint' to the owner of the Exmoor that she should have warned me about the amount of poo and wee her pony does over night before I took him on loan

Flooded stable most mornings :(

Only 4! I'm clearly feeding mine too much, I would hazard a guess at 7 - 8 for the gelding, from about 6pm to 7am, mare its impossible to tell as she does them in one big pile.

up to about 13 for my 17.2hh and my youngster i dont know she mashe it together but probably 5 ish and shes 14hh
they are in 6pm till 8am (they are out 24/7 now)

Mare does about two to three, but they're huge! The gelding used to do millions of doddles everywhere when he was in (well, slightly exaggerating!) but you needed to practically sieve his bed to muck out.

I am beginning to wonder whether mares do fewer but bigger ones, and geldings lots of smaller ones? Gosh, what a subject!:D

pmsl, had a conversation with the vet on friday on this very topic, he was out to see friends mini but asked after the one he'd given wormer injection to a few weeks ago, friend replied all good and mentioned that horse now does what she would consider normal size poo's for his size rather than the ridiculous amount of miniature size poo's he had been doing. Vet laughed and told her that she really needed to get out more as inspecting and counting horse poo's was borderline crazy, :D:D she does also know how many poo's each individual horse/pony does in 24 hours lol, me i have no idea as mine are all out 24/7 and i don't poo pick at the same time each day, all i know is that i do about 3 wheelbarrows to pick up all poo from 3 horses and 2 ponies!

Well now funny u should mention the mare gelding pooage.... both mine are mares who do 3-4 overnight, we need more specific answers haha are mares full of poop, now that's the question? hehe

Zero piles of poo from mine!

But before you all want to swap, that is because all the poo gets trodden into her bed and thoroughly walked around and ground in. Filthy madam! Don't know how she does it, but within five minutes of being mucked out her stable looks like the monkey cage after a poo fight.....

pritty simular to this

Star normally leaves me just one pile. In his food bucket. The rest is a glorious mash of poo and wee and shavings. Dirty b*gger. He managed to fire one into his haynet the other night, that was interesting. :-\

God, I've never laughed so much! Trying to picture how he fired into the haynet. Must have some sort of inbuilt missile guidance :o
Luckily for me my boy is on part livery so no idea as to how much or little damage he leaves in his stable each morning. Suffice to say he pees for England so according to the poor livery staff, more like a flash flood than a bomb site greets them each day.

Old boy does 4 to five when he's stabled over winter.

If the mare comes in when its awful, then I can expect 5 or 6. And Jack is about 5 too.

Love the missile related post- hilarious!

I think you should buy him one of those treat balls. Not because he's bored but because he sounds like a contender for the Harlem Globetrotters.

Not sure how he could fire it. May need one of those 'specialist' websites for ideas.;)
