Hi. Just looking for recommendations for a light to put on the dogs on a walk when it’s dark.

They need to be easy to turn off and on,waterproof and fairly robust as the dogs have already gone through 3 different lots of lights since the summer. We tend to walk the dogs on a trail way in the evenings which is also used by cyclists so it helps avoid accidents if they can see the dogs. I’m considering getting a dive head torch for each of them to wear round their necks as the other lights I’ve used don’t seem to last with the dogs running through the streams. Has anyone used these as I’m a bit worried about them getting caught up whilst wearing them. The dogs are a 7year old lab and a 5month GSD. Thanks

OH uses this one for our dog for a couple of years and is still in a good condition

ive been looking for a lighted collar for my small terrier but most of them are too big. in the ad it says it is 70cm but can be cut down to fit,i would need it to be 30 cm . do you think that is possible? and if its is cut to size how does it fit together.. sorry for the questions and thanks in advance

I just bought one for our 6.5kg terrier and cut it down to fit - they're made of a kind of solid slightly rubbery plastic, so you can cut through them with a decent pair of kitchen scissors. To undo the collar in order to cut it, ours has a tiny screw that goes through the clip/on button section, then is screwed into the rubbery plastic of the collar. It came with an equally tiny screwdriver to remove the screw and then put it back in after cutting down. It was very easy to do and it works brilliantly.

This is what I bought (from our local pet shop) but I'm sure most of them are similar.

I bought a medium I think, it's probably safer to go too big than too small as the small did look tiny.

The one I got said about is easy enough to cut down as we have a jack Russel 6 month puppy and oh is just going to cut one down for him when he gets around to if.

These are what I use too although mine was much cheaper, think I got it from home bargains. Easy to cut down to any size and really visible. Not tough enough to add a lead too so I use it in addition to their regular collar.

Not sure how it would stand up to running through streams though!! But certainly cheap enough to give it a try
