Many years ago, we used to hack past a pet lioness. She was chained up and sat on the flat roof of a garage extension. Sometimes she would sit in the window and watch us go past. Funnily enough the horse didn't bother but I was always rather nervous.
I think if I lived in Essex my horses would be in their stables tonight, with the doors firmly shut.I

You STILL need a DWA license to keep a wild animal ...such as Lions , Tigers etc !!!!!!!!
I reckon its come as a stowaway. To steal dens & prey from British wildlife & receive free vet care. Next it will be bringing over its entire pride to live for free while the decent hardworking British predators provide for it. I can just see the daily mails headline now 'illegal aslam seeking immigrant lions taking over uk'.
If there are any remaining circuses that travel round with lions then I would have thought they'd notice one was missing..
