List your camp essentials!!

Down sleeping bag, down coat, thermals, hot water bottles and wine - we were camping Easter weekend and it was -6 thr first night!! Don't forget your cutlery and plates etc. Have a fantastic time

A raid of the drug aisle in Tesco; ibuprofen, paracetemol, alka-seltzer, rennies, throat sweets, hayfever tablets, plasters, bandages, tcp, germolene, suntan lotion (wishful thinking) etc.

Deoderant, toothpaste, hairbrush, I can't believe how many times I have forgotten these!

Post it notes (so manic I usually forgot lots of things)!

Mobile and charger.

A couple of bottles of drink so you can later refill these with water to take out with you.

I can't agree more with kirstyl, the amount of times I have gone to camp (long time ago though!) and it's been glorious weather during the day but mighty cold in the evenings and at night.

Flipflops for the showers....the ones at Pontispool get disgusting! Having said that, I combat it by paying extra to stay in the luxury ensuite accommodation!!!!!

Oh dear, other people had more sensible suggestions....

On a serious note, a torch. One thing I always forget! And a bag to carry things to the showers.

Horse wise, don't forget the feed scoop. All well taking buckets and feed, but the scoop helps too, as I have discovered !

Ditto the showers at Pontispool, they are ming!!! However Stockland Lovell are much nicer. Didnt know they had ensuite accommodation though!

Wet wipes and loo roll!! And another one for torch, or head torch if you have one. Oh and a cool box with a couple of bags of ice in, just in case by some miracle the weather is nice, nothing worse than warm wine ;-)

I wrote a list out of kit for him and me on my first one and it was long! Just run through your daily routine and all the tack you'll need and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Enjoy!

Which camp are you going to VG, also of to camp tomorrow, just about to start packing now! Also I would take more the amount of Jods that you have riding sessions so that if it rains in the am, fall in water etc etc you can get changed, they prop won't dry overnight!

Good idea, I always keep a spare set of clothing in the car for emergencies like that already as I am prone to things like that.
I'm going to West Moor Farm in Northumberland, other end of the country to you I guess?

Yer my car as lot of clothes in it, for that! And yes other end of country, couldn't see you location as on phone! We go to Aston Le walls, I've been before as a senior pc member but never done anything like it on current horse, in fact I've only had one Xc group lesson on her!
