Little Pip

Ultrasound ended up happening today, pleased to say there's no fluid, no kittens, and nothing else of serious concern hooray! 🎉
Suspect she just needs more time for her innards to settle after her heavy worm burden, but at least that's things like FIP off my mind!

She was a little star, just sat there quite contently on the table in the consult room, and was quite happy to have her tummy shaved and lay quietly on her side for the ultrasound.

Pip-Pop continues to do great! She's now 1.7kg and is a really loving little kitten, when she's not having the zoomies that is.
She went back for a follow up check with the vet yesterday, mostly to recheck her temperature as it was a bit elevated last time. It was elevated again yesterday, so the vet ran a quick haematology panel which came back with a few things wonky, as well as indicating anaemia. So on a hunch he then did a blood smear and what do you know, feline hemotropic mycoplasmosis aka feline infectious anaemia. Pretty good guess based on a few vague things such as increased respiratory rate and elevated temperature, especially considering her gums are a good colour and she's just a mental as any other kitten. Thankfully it's nothing a course of meds can't solve.
