I was wondering whether people would share their experiences of using the liverpool cream on sarcoids?
My mare has just had her second day of treatment (Monday the first, Wednesday the second and is due one on Friday). The first day there was no real reaction, and then yesterday she did not seem bothered by it when it was being treated at 10am. However, by the time I got back up to the yard at 6pm the area around the biggest sarcoid (the size of a pea) was almost like a haematoma in that it was hanging down below her tummy and filled with fluid.
It felt hot to touch, was obviously sore because she was not 100% happy about me prodding it (to see whether it was fluidy on vet's request). I gave her some bute paste last night, and some more this morning and turned her out for a few hours too. The swelling had reduced a lot this morning. There was still some inflammation around it, but rather than hanging down, it was more spread across the area.
