Myself and some friends are looking to move yards and are looking around Herts.
Possible areas are Borehamwood, Potters Bar, Crews Hill
What makes it especially tough is trying to reconcile everyones priorities and areas. Of course a lot of yards may not have space for 4 immediately but we would be happy to go on a waiting list and move one at a time as space came up.
Requirements
Daily turnout all year round in smallish groups. This may only be 2 or 3 hours in winter but as long as they get out to stretch their legs. Obviously there will be the odd extreme day when fields are not usable.
Good size, well maintained, all weather school - must be floodlit.
Open every day till evening so you can ride after work.
Some jumping equipment
Either on site instructors or OK to bring your own
Needs to offer part and assisted DIY livery.
Some hacking would be nice
Secure areas to keep tack, rugs and other assorted equipment.
May have to access by public transport occasionally but its amazing where you can get to with a train, a local bus and a 15 minute walk so dont let that put you off suggesting places.
We looked at Mote End and they fitted the bill but they are quite pricey. What pushed it up especially was the £4 per day sharer fee.
If you went on holiday and your sharer rode every day you would be paying close to £900 per month
Any suggestions welcomed
Thanks
